Speedway can only get a 20 out of 20 from me not just for price but moreso for its role it played for me in fighting a red light ticket just up the block at Gibbons and South Patrick street. Speedway is one curb cut away from Gibbons which is very important in my story. You see, the City Council of Alexandria has very specific rules on red light running IF you actually ran the red light.
I did not.
I fought the photo enforcement ticket all the way to Court which meant first going to the police station hearing to see the police 'evidence' only to watch the cop go white when I presented my evidence. The difference between the Cops evidence and mine was literally night and day, truly. The Cos evidence was tampered with.
How the gas station played in to beating the photo enforcement ticket was their kindness in letting me get gas of course and also park near their air machine so I could walk the steps from curb cut to Gibbons, photograph and video the light changes.
The Judge was gobsmacked. Took one look at the Cop, one look at me... I had exposed how the City of Alexandria knowingly, with intent, uses fraud to exploit Gibbons and S Patrick's light being a cash cow- minutes away from the highway interchange.
Thank you Speedway for your kindness and, of course, great gas prices in Virginia.

At this gas station the cigarettes I want are around $6 but the same cigarettes at the liberty across from it is $10. So glad I stopped here.

Was back here again to fuel up. Compared to other gas stations in Alexandria, this is where you'll want to go to save money. I'm not sure what their taxes on fuel are, but I was happy to pay $3.29 a gallon a few days ago. Then again this is close to some of my fishing spots. That is part of the equation. Location for us men is imperative. It can be slightly challenging getting in and out of here. That's urban driving for you. It's not going to win any beauty or amenities awards. All good as I'm about saving money. My guess is nothing has changed here since the 90's. Pumps work despite the cramped conditions. If in the area, are are budget conscious, this is where you'll want to go.

I've used my cash app card at this gas station twice to purchase gas at the window with the attendant and the machine stated my card was declined. But, I received a message that they had taken money off of my cash app. Please do not use your debit or credit cards at this gas station. I was able to get my money back from the first charge, but I am having an issue with this second charge. The gas station attendant was help with issuing me the receipt showing that the amount and message stating the card was declined.
