Unfortunatly you cannot speak to a human when you need any type of assistance. I toured the building gave a deposit and decided to not move here. They said they will be refunding my deposit but unfortunately still have not received my money and I’m unable to get in touch with anyone regarding this matter.Glad I didn’t move here based off this customer service in the application process alone. Will have to resort to a dispute with my bank it seems

I moved into this complex 6 months ago and regret it everyday.1. They force you to pay for an internet service ($50 month) that is unreliable. One night my boyfriend was working from home and the internet completely shut off. When I contacted the service provider, they told me there is no available troubleshooter at this time in the night to help you, call back in the morning. When I called in the morning I received no answer. My boyfriend's job said that if he didn't have reliable internet tonight there was a possibility he could lose his job. We had to rush to Verizon to get fios service that same day. Since then ( 1 week after moving in), I have paid for fios service in addition to the one FORCED by the complex. When I complained to the complex they wanted me to send evidence of the faulty service. Why would I continue to use a service that is faulty, especially when my livelihood is based on my internet service. Do you think I want to pay for 2 internet services? Makes no sense!!!!!!!!!! Let your resident have a CHOICE!2. I pay $110 a month to park my car in the garage. Three weeks ago someone smashed my passenger window, stole all 4 tires and left my car on milk crates. To say the least, I was in shocked. In shock that this has happened and the complex did nothing for me. I suggested to increase cameras and a security guard. I was told that it was unfortunate and there is no 100% method to prevent crime. So because there is no full proof plan to prevent crime you choose to do nothing? Makes no sense!!!! Increasing cameras and adding security will deter criminal activity. At least show that you care and are trying your best. I live in fear that this will happen to my car again and I will be left paying a deductible. I also asked if I could get a reduction in my parking for this month because I was without a car for about 3 weeks. The first week I did use a rental and they gave me a temporary sticker but I did not have money to afford a rental for a whole month while I wait for my car to be fixed. When I asked for the reduction I was told that they couldn't. When I pressed the issue, I was told that if I wanted a reduction I would have to rip up the decal. By that time my car was already at the bodyshop. Then they said ask someone at the bodyshop to rip it up for me and send a picture. Yea, the people at the bodyshop have time for that. Ridiculous. It would have been appreciated if they at least reduced my parking pass for this month. Again, not helpful. PLEASE increase cameras in the garage and add a security guard.3. When I order a package and I write in the instructions to delivery to my front door, the delivery drivers don't listen and they place it by the parcel lockers. I write that in the instruction because your packages aren't safe by the parcel lockers. When my packages go there, I find them either completely stolen or opened because someone stole something out of the package. Again I get it, people will steal. But if you add more cameras it will deter criminal activity. Please add cameras to this area and enforce that delivery drivers don't leave packages in that room. With all of that being said. When my lease ends, I will be going somewhere else. Where my complaints are heard, taken into consideration and action is taking place.

When I signed a renewal lease for year 2 of living here, I was forced to pay a 23% increase in rent, and management refused to negotiate. No matter how many times I asked for a meeting or a call, they would not meet with me. I signed the renewal with a twisted arm because they ran down the clock by saying they would talk to me later, later, later, but they never did. The icing on the cake is that it is now extremely difficult for me to work from home because of Gigstreem internet. My first year, I bought Verizon internet, which was reliable. With the renewal, the apartment management forced me to pay an additional $50 a month for Gigstreem internet, so in order to "save" money, I had to cancel my Verizon internet (which was actually cheaper). Now the internet cuts out regularly and Gigstreem is super apathetic to fixing anything, just saying that they are "working on a known outage" or I waste on the phone with them while they try to find my account. Will I have to buy internet from Verizon again, plus continue to be forced to pay for bad Gigstreem? Yup.

It’s been one issue after another here, constant crime in the building and they do nothing about it. Cars being stolen/broken into. They had a security guard for about a week but idk what happened to that. The garage is so disgustingly filthy I have to hold my breath coming and going from my car. The elevators are broken and out of order almost every day so it may as well just be a 4 story walk up. They are “testing” the fire alarms all the time with no warning so you never know when the fire alarms will be going off over and over all day (good luck sleeping if you work at night). The office staff is “nice” but blames everything on UDR and enforces nonsense policies, UDR is unresponsive to email or voicemails so there’s really no help when you need it. Our buzzer is broken with no fix in sight. The front door alarm has been going off in the lobby of my building almost constantly for the entire time that I’ve lived here, thankfully, I don’t live on the first floor. I don’t know how those people stand it. The list goes on. The location is decent, the community isn’t terrible looking and easy access to the park so they get an extra star and we haven’t had the time or motivation to move out, but I would not recommend anybody moves in. We are charged for internet equipment they installed in the apartments that we don’t want and didn’t ask for. They increased the price of parking while making all the best spots “reserved” or “fuel efficient vehicle only” so they could advertise EV charging.

Just moved in one week ago. I toured a different unit in another bldg because the unit I chose was not ready. Moved into my unit and I am extremely disappointed. The unit was NOT move in ready. I don't believe the unit was cleaned at all. The door on the washer is not aligned and the washer smells horrific. The kitchen sink is stopped up and hot water is not working. The handle on the oven is broken. The closet light fixture was laying in the middle of the floor. The living room floor has many visible dents. The refrigerator has scratches everywhere with a cracked vegetable bin. AC unit whistles loudly. The outside hallway reeks of weed and there is a huge nasty looking stain on the carpet in front of my door. I would love to know who signed off on this apartment as move in ready. Maintenance came out looked around, said he would be right back and never returned or called. There is no on site management assistance, so good luck with getting any resolution. All communication is via text (unprofessional). They advertise Courts at Huntington Station as luxury apartments. There is absolutely nothing luxury about this community at all minus the price. IMHO, Please consider living somewhere else, where you ACTUALLY get what you pay for because you won't get it here.

UDR management does not care about the safety of the residents or their belongings. Major theft problem here. We pay for mail lockers as well as garage parking (which is about $100-$120/ monthly) yet our mail/ packages are constantly stolen, cars are vandalized, and some cars have even been stolen. The prices continue to increase here but nothing is upgraded. Residents complain but nothing happens. Move here at your own risk.

As a resident of The Courts Huntington, I'd like to bring to your attention several ongoing concerns. Firstly, the call box at 5950 has remained non-functional since my move-in, despite promises of repairs. It's been nearly a year with little to no progress, resulting in frequent package thefts and inconveniences during grocery deliveries. Restoring the call box's functionality would greatly alleviate these issues.Secondly, there's only one operational elevator in the building, and I once found myself stuck in it for 10 minutes on my way to work. I urge you to address this matter promptly.Thirdly, we are being charged for Wi-Fi services we don't use, as we already have our own internet connection. It's a redundant expense that should be rectified.Lastly, on Sunday, 8/6, two young boys were loitering in the building, and we have no knowledge of how they gained access. This situation left us feeling unsafe, and we had to escort them out by threatening to involve the police. This security concern needs immediate attention!!I hope you can take swift action to resolve these matters.

I regretfully have to share my rather disappointing experience during my stay at The Courts At Huntington Station. While there were a few positive aspects, there were several consistent issues that tarnished my overall perception of the complex. To start, the frequent testing of the alarm system became a source of constant frustration. The alarms were tested once or twice every two weeks, creating disturbances and making it difficult to concentrate, especially as someone who often worked from home.Water pressure problems were an ongoing issue within my apartment. Despite maintenance visits, the problem remained unresolved, causing repeated inconvenience.Adding to my discomfort was the unreliable air conditioning system. It would unexpectedly shut down with a "power lost" message, leaving me sweltering on hot days and adding another layer of disappointment. The gym, meant to be a useful amenity, turned out to be quite a letdown. With only half of the machines functional, and the others left in disrepair, the gym's potential was far from realized, impacting my ability to maintain an active lifestyle.A concerning aspect that stood out was the lack of on-site office staff. The absence of a direct point of contact for urgent matters was frustrating. Residents had no choice but to send emails or messages through an app and wait for one to two days for a response, which felt inadequate, especially when dealing with time-sensitive concerns. On top of these issues, a rather bothersome matter was the trash truck that operated in the garage around 7:30 am daily. This truck's loud noise reverberated throughout the complex, even on the fourth floor where I lived. The persistent disturbances from this truck disrupted sleep for many residents, myself included. In conclusion, my experience at The Courts At Huntington Station was plagued by recurring problems that hindered my comfort and enjoyment. The complex's potential was overshadowed by these disappointments. It is my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and endeavors to enhance the living conditions and overall resident experience.

Lived here for a year, the biggest downside is that the elevator is constantly down and the usually takes weeks to fix. One of the two elevators has completely stopped working (even when management says they 'fixed' it). This is especially frustrating when you need to move things like furniture or boxes into the apartment.

Our upstairs neighbors have at least one child who jumps, runs around, plays ball and screams until past midnight nightly. We have complained and nothing has been done. The building has been down to one elevator or often no elevator for 4 months now. All we get is lies about when it will be fixed. We pay a ridiculous amount to park our cars in the garage and after we were in our lease the company “reserved” all of the closest spaces and will charge even more for the use of those spaces.Fire alarms go off regularly because the water pressure drops in the sprinkler system (ear piercing noise in every bedroom and hall). The alarm in our lobby went off constantly for at least 6 months.Packages stolen all the time! Now we are trying to exercise the huge $ buy out just to move and get away from the horrible issues and are being given the runaround. They drag their feet (the only way to “talk” to them is through email, on-site personnel cannot actually do anything) and they have 3 times sent partial information to drive the calendar later before the 60 day notice starts. (It has taken over two weeks to get partial information from them. That cost us at least $1400 since we are moving immediately but now have to pay two extra weeks for an empty apartment.)Money grubbing, neglectful, and disrespectful!Reply to the response: perhaps the person responding should have read more carefully. We HAVE contacted them multiple times about the people living directly over us. Not a whole lot of investigation necessary. The only thing they have done is write a “are you still having issues?”email, we replied yes (every night) and then we got another email saying the issue is closed.I absolutely NEVER said “crime knows no address” That is ridiculous! We are STILL getting the runaround and every single day they delay costs is an additional $93.Alarms broken, lights broken, elevators broken, drugs being dealt on road behind the building and halls that reek of dope.Stay away from The Courts at Huntington Station

I live here and have been living here for since December of 2022. Everything was dandy till I realised the beauty of this building is only on the outside. for the past couple of weeks our elevators have been out of service and when they finally get them fixed its a temporary fix. My entire building only has one working elevator which is frustrating. Since we moved in our call box has NEVER worked. We were told it would be fixed to this day nothing has been done about that. Our corridors have no air conditioning so walking around the building feels like you're walking in sauna. Security in these apartments is a myth, I can't count how many of my packages have gone missing. Just this past weekend I found young boys who I later discovered were not residents of the Community loitering around and the only way I could get them off the property was by threatening to call the police, how the got access into the building still puzzles me.

***EDIT to reply to the response received below. I personally spoke to the fire fighters who were clearing the building and was told it was a false alarm, so I'm not sure how the equipment is working properly. Also, I spoke with the fire inspector who was here about a month ago who told me he has never received so many complaints at a property before regarding safety concerns, so I assure you that your residents do not feel safe here. Also, if safety was such a concern, I'm not sure why the locked garage door that we pay $80 a month to use, is constantly left open for anyone to enter and get into the building. There is also a side door that has been broken and accessible to anyone for the entire length of my stay here even though I reported that it was broken. Because of the constant fire alarms people are not taking them seriously and if a fire is actually happening I fear that many would think it's just another false alarm.***I've lived here for less than a year and the fire alarms have gone off constantly. In the past week alone, they have gone off on 4 separate days for false alarms, at all times of the day and night. We have to wait for the fire department to come and clear the building. It is so incredibly disruptive to daily life, and especially to those who work from home. We have contacted management multiple times about the issue and that are unresponsive or say they don't know anything about it.

I currently live here and honestly can’t wait for my lease to be over so I can get out, Property management is useless, unprofessional and rude, their residents are not a priority here, there are stained walls in common areas the elevators are dirty and slow ( if they work ) and vandalism here is REAL! But again they don’t care the garage door stays open for days and the entrance to the building is broken, I reported this many many times and they attached a piece of metal to it, maintenance personnelInformed me that they were waiting for UDR to approve the budget to buy a new door and replace it, how is this multimillion dollar corporation holding to approve and buy a door that’s insane, the garage smells like trash you will find washers furniture you name it down there for weeks and no one takes them out, I also understand that they have no control over deliveries but CAMERAS! They need cameras, we have dishonest residents or outsiders who knows, that will take your packages I’ve lost so many packages and again they don’t care to install a security system in the mail room that could prevent that, if you work from home and rely on conference calls video calls etc this is not a match, their fire alarm system is a failure and yet they don’t care to be efficient and FIX IT, you will have fire alarm "tests" at least 2 times a month for hours so get ready for the unpleasant loud noise that will not only hurt your ears but traumatize your pets and miss hours of work. This property's management that is inefficient they do not care about their residents at all!
