I would not recommend moving into these apartments. Long story short, I had to quickly downgrade (as I am a previous homeowner) to a townhome due to a military move. At first, I thought this complex was great. For the price of a 2bdrm/2 bath (WITH a garage) townhome, you couldn’t beat it and it was in a good location in close proximity to Target/Giant/the interstate/etc. I quickly realized that the management of this property had no regard for their tenants and the complex was disastrous. Come to find out, the whole time I was occupying the unit, it was INFESTED with mice. You may wonder how I didn’t notice upon move in? It wasn’t immediately apparent (despite mice droppings in the garage area upon move in but I figured that was due to the unit being vacate for a while before I moved in) and I worked a ton so I was rarely home. There was no care, consideration or urgency into the matter at all. No accommodations or price reduction. NOTHING. Just a casual “we’ll get someone out to check it out in a few days.” Mind you pest control is contracted to only come out 1-2x a week and the only thing they did was set a few traps (which the mice continually evaded). It was so bad that I voluntarily left because I did not feel comfortable staying there. The few times I popped into the unit to check, there were always numerous mice droppings on my kitchen counters. It was sickening. Eventually maintenance accompanied pest control and came to check behind my appliances. They found multiple holes behind the oven, dishwasher and fridge that needed to be sealed. Despite such, the issue persisted. There was also a gap in my garage that needed to be corrected. Management never ordered the part that pest control requested (numerous times mind you) in order to remedy the issue in the garage. I inquired about terminating my lease early or, at the very least, moving into another unit only to be told that they would get me an answer on it and subsequently they went silent on the issue. This was an ongoing problem for almost 5 months. This was also an ongoing issue in the complex, not just my unit (& I know that from first hand knowledge of neighbors who suffered the same issues). Unfortunately, I lived elsewhere until my lease ended and still had to suffer paying for a unit that I was not utilizing. Upon move out, many of my personal items had to be discarded due to damage. They then had the nerve to offer a renewal at an increased price. Outside of that, the gates to enter/exit the complex are always broke and wide open so any sense of security is out the window. The pedestrian gate in the back of the complex was also always wide open for anyone to walk in. I’m so happy I moved from that horrid place and I know a few others who would attest to the same.Whoever moved into my old unit, I’m sure they disguised it well so I feel bad for you but also good luck with your new unwanted roommates.

I just called to get info about leasing an apartment as I am relocating to the area soon. The leasing staff that I spoke with was very short & unwelcoming. Didn’t give me any information. She was very short with me and pretty much dismissed me. HORRIBLE customer service.

10/10 would not recommend. Roach issues on move in. Air conditioner was non existent during the summer, despite it being “fixed” multiple times. Oh, and whatever they say your rent will be, plan on spending an additional ~$200 per month for charges that aren’t even explained to you.Luckily we were able to break the lease due to military obligations. The townhomes look very nice and could be, however the front office and issues that exist make it no where near worth it. Do NOT live there.

I’ve lived here for 4 years now and have always loved the apartments. I’ve been in two different units so far (getting more space) and moving to another unit soon (a townhouse). The community is in a great area and very centralized with Shirlington so close by and the Springfield mall. Taylor in the leasing office has been a great support, making moving and transitioning units seamless. And has always been very polite and friendly.

Stay away from here and especially building 1475! For the last 3 years living here the fire alarm goes off every single month and it’s due to plumbing issues that they do not want to address (this is per the fire department’s words). This has been going on for the last 10 plus years per residents that have lived here longer than I have. Most of the time when the alarms go off, it goes off more than once a day and disturbingly enough it goes off in the middle of the night. It has come to a point where you barely see anyone step out because everyone in this building is so used to it. What happens when there is a real emergency and no one steps out because everyone thinks it’s just a “false” alarm??? I would understand if this maybe went on for 1 year while they coordinate their budget for the project so this can get fixed accordingly but I have been here for 3 years and after talking to multiple residents, many have lived here for 10+ years and they have said this has always been an issue. Also water is always pouring out of the piping areas in the garage which in turn comes out of the residents pockets through RUBS. The appearance of this place looks nice but trust me, your perception will change once you actually live here. The only good part about this community is the technicians.Oh and the property manager never shows her face, she does not send out any emails to at least acknowledge these things happening. I’ve never seen a manager not engage with their residents at all!

So many problems, I'll keep it as brief as possible but it’s a lot wrong.**NOTICE: the people who are giving this place 5 stars have not lived here yet**The only positive, Will the maintenance guy is one of the best. and is the only reason why I wouldn't give this place 0 stars. The staff and the hours they choose to work are terrible. And if you can’t reach them, it’s not you, its them. Just email them because I've lived here for a year and never got anyone on the phone.I moved from out of state so I needed to move in on Sunday (that's when my lease started) but they're closed Sundays and Mondays. I had friends in the area so I asked Brenda if he could get the key before and she said, "yes on Friday". He gets there Friday and she said no he has to come Saturday because the apartment isn't ready yet. Then Saturday she tells both of us that I have to be there and pick it up Sunday. Then on Sunday an hour before I arrive, she calls me and ask if my friend can pick the keys up. Very unprofessional! When I first moved in, I had stains on my carpet, my bathtub wasn't finished/cleaned, fireplace didn't work, dish washer was broken and my balcony had so much bird stool on it... in short, my apartment wasn't ready. The water heater was so old that it didn't get the water hot and that it left my skin dry and cracking (and I put lotion on everyday). the washer and dryer unit were older than 20 years and kept ripping my clothes. My dish washer and everything else didn't get fixed until months after moving in once I threated to take legal action and the fireplace remains broken. It took them 3 days to fix the tub and when they finished my and I had to wait 48 hours to use it. and the fumes were terrible. The housing is heated by water so if that's broken then you have no heat and I moved in early December so I didn't have heat until February.Them attempting to fix the fireplace caused a gas leak in my apartment. Which I caught 2 days later (being away from the apartment because it was too cold to be there without heat). That caused a spike in the gas bill which they did not compensate me for. Since then, 2 more apartments (two different times) had gas leaks that came into my apartment and both times I woke up to a headache so it was no telling what could've happened if I didn't wake up.The elevators are definitely not up to code, the gates are always broken so it minds as well not even be there. Someone car is broken into at least once a month or two.I keep a clean place so I never had problems with pest but I have seen roaches around the complex. The only good thing about this place was the price and the trash valet, but I found a place in Arlington, VA that is the same price with the same square footage. So, if you want to live in a better place for the same price, you can! and if you want to save money and live in Alexandria you absolutely can but I do not recommend this place at all.

I just want to give a big shoutout to Will in Maintenance as he had wonderful customer service and was a very productive individual. I had to get my baseboards in the kitchen redone and he did that and even fixed my blinds without complaining. Great customer service and work ethic is hard to find, so I think we should acknowledge the good.

My moving people were at the wrong location moving my stuff. I was at work and unable to answer them but they did mention a maintenance worker by the name of Will was kind enough to point them the right direction. I am now here looking into moving into Town Center because of how nice the staff is.

Very helpful property. Angelica was very helpful in helping me find the perfect place. She answered all calls or emails in a timely fashion. If the every place was full of people like her it would be 110% customer satisfaction
