I have never encountered more incompetent people than the staff at USSFCU. Even when I explained in detail the transactions I needed completed, they were only achieved with a maximum expenditure of my time, my money, and my labor. If you respect yourself and your savings, you will take your assets to another financial institution.

I currently have accounts with multiple credit unions and multiple commercial banks. USSFCU has the most rapacious fees of any of them. Philosophically I’m predisposedvto strongly support credit unions, but I’m on the verge of closing my account with this one because I’m so dissatisfied with their value proposition.

1 star for having great auto loan rates. That's it. This credit union is ARCHAIC to say the least. Where do I get started: First - when you sign up, memorize your account number (who does that?) because, unlike every other bank and credit union in the world, you can't login and look it up, even though you need it for literally every transaction (like setting up direct deposit). They say it's "for your security", however if they are so concerned with security, they should consider a software system that doesn't limit passwords to having NO special characters, and letters/numbers only. My typical password was rejected for being TOO complicated (what?) The app is barely an app. Login and you can see your account balance. wow. You can also transfer back and forth between accounts. Want to make a payment or see a loan balance? good luck. We bought a car here, and regularly get the same letters in the mail asking if we have the title. We have filled out a form for an electronic title and said we dont have the title no less than 3 times. It works for a month or two then we get the same. Their email and communication system goes at about the same speed as a regular letter making it worthless. Timeline of communication with me over the last 48 hours, to resolve some account paperwork issues USSFCU via email to me: Please contact us regarding this paperwork Me to USSFCU, 5 minutes later: Got it, I'll login and take a look and see if thats needed Me to USSFCU, 5 minutes after the last email: Hey I just took care of it online, shouldnt be an issue now, for some reason your system said it takes 24 hours to update so I'll confirm with you when its done Me to USSFCU, the next morning: "hey it updated, no paperwork required". USSFCU to me via email, 24 hours after the last email: "thanks" in response to email 1 USSFCU to me via email, 24 hours after the last email: "thanks" in response to email 2 USSFCU to me via email, 24 hours after the last email: "thanks" in response to email 3 Note: these were individual emails, not to a group inbox. Our auto loan applications took hours, in person, sitting at a branch. We completed the info online but for whatever reason they wanted us to come in and actually sit down. That being said, it was a great rate, better than USAA and others. So if you're willing to make occasional brief jaunts back to 1965, and realize that doing the most basic things like getting your account number so you can setup direct deposit will be difficult, and their online system was probably coded by a firm who outsourced to undergrad computer science students who cant properly protect from SQL inject vulnerabilities, so instead they just ban all special characters, and you're ok with that to save a few grand, sign up now!!

Unethical way of conducting business, we sent a customer over for an auto loan, they start telling the customer what the price of the car should be, and then they pull a wrong NADA Book value on the vehicle and give false numbers that don't exist!
