TLDR: Don’t go to the location if you can avoid it. There are UPS locations everywhere, and this is by far the worst. A franchised location does not mean they can implement arbitrary rules, so either a worker was making up random rules or leadership at this particular store is arbitrarily deciding to reject certain Amazon returns.Review:Despite canceling an Amazon subscription, I keep getting sent 40 pound boxes of cat litter. Because of this I’ve had to return about six boxes so far, all to the UPS in Kingstowne with no issue.. While lugging around one to return I realized I was driving by this location and decided to return here. This occurred not even five minutes after they opened, so if the leadership does read this review I’m sure you can readily identify the two women who were working here.I walked up to the counter, greeted the woman working and let her know I had an Amazon return. She didn’t acknowledge me and simply turned her coworker and asked if she could accept the litter. Her coworker rolled her eyes and said ‘this time we can’. I asked what the issue was and she responded that the cat litter wasn’t appropriately packed to be returned. I pointed to the shipping label on the box and told her this was how it was shipped, therefore it is packed by Amazon standards. Bear in mind - the cat litter is 40 pounds, and is shipped on its own not in a box therefore it technically is already packed [and I’vr had zero issues before]. She informed me that each UPS location is owned by different people and it is their discretion to decide what they do and do not accept. Knowing that this is not how franchises work, I let her know that I’ve had no issue returning this way before and would just simply go to a different location. Her response? I don’t care, that’s up to you. ??As stated in my synopsis, either this worker was wrong or leadership is trying to make new rules that technically they are not allowed to do as a franchise. On top of this being annoying, the two women working here were just not pleasant and definitely wanted to be anywhere else. I understand working retail sucks, but this was the easiest transaction and should not have had any issues.I’ll be going to UPS Kingstowne from now on, despite it being an additional 10 minutes from my home, as I have had zero issues with them or the personnel who worked there. In the grand scheme of metrics driving success and productivity of a location, I implore leadership to reevaluate and reeducate the women working at the counter today. ☺️

I have never had a bad experience at this UPS location, but today was especially outstanding. Kalea helped me through the process of mailing a number of boxes going to different locations and she was patient, helpful, attentive, and professional. It was a pleasure to work with her and keep the Christmas spirit going!

If you need to print, don’t come here. Go to the public library where you can print for $0.25 per page stress free in less than 60 seconds. My issue isn’t the cost of printing, my issue was the lack of customer service and the runaround. I came in Monday morning to print out a return label. I made it extremely clear that my purpose for being in store was to print to where the front counter associates instructed me to use their computer to print. Keep in mind, you have to pay before starting and the only way you can print is via usb. You can’t download anything onto the desktop or into files. I asked for assistance and all I got was a lazy “I don’t know” or “send it to the store email”. I asked what the store email was followed by another “i don’t know” and “that computer is known to have issues and not printing”. Okay, so if you KNEW the computer doesn’t work why wouldn’t you disclose that from the start?? I asked for a refund and they gave me the runaround and obvious lies to get me to leave. Either way, it’s all good because I filed a chargeback and got my money back. I refuse to pay $2 to play 21 questions with incompetent employees so y’all can pay $2 plus chargeback fees for wasting my time and disrespecting me. Also, I enjoy hip-hop/rap as much as the next person but blasting uncensored music in the workplace for everyone to hear is incredibly unprofessional.

This is a terrible place. I've finally decided not to go to this place again. Every time I go the staff look like they are hanging out and trying to find ways to change customers for talking to them. Today I brought a paid label image and they wanted to charge me to print and put it on a box. Good luck to you and will see how long you'll keep your door open.

Able is a real asset to the team. I was feeling especially low because I am disabled and it’s depressing, he helped me out. Well done :)

UPS lost one of may package. My company replaced it for me and instead of my address I chose to pick it up in a local UPS Store. It was delivered on Friday and I went to pick it up today (Monday) at 3213 Duke St, Alexandria, VA 22314. The young rude guy asked me to pay $50 for the days they kept it - Wow. I was to ask the reason, and he took the package back without lessoning to me . . . Since I did not have any other option to rid of this poor business. I paid $5 for each day including weekend and leave. The worst experience. One package lost for another I paid more :)

Completely wasted my time, letting me wait in line for 10 minutes knowing they couldn't ship packages because their internet is down (but can somehow process drop offs and provide tracking receipts) without making an announcement as to the impact of their loss of internet. Then they told me to get back in line since it was only that workstation and not the whole store that was down internet ( I remember this vividly because those were the exact questions I asked) only to be told, after waiting in line again, that it was actually the whole store that was down.

I stopped by a few weeks ago to drop off a package. The employees were pleasant enough, but the owner came in and proceeded to walk through the store muttering under his breath, and then could be heard at the back of the store loudly chastising employees about the store being messy, dirty etc. People can have bad days, but the negativity makes me think I won't come back to this location.
