This location is a shining example of government entitlement and inefficiency. The lady I encountered today at the counter wins the Not My Job award. Rude, condescending, and generally disrespectful. I understand somewhat if they were swamped with customers but I was the only one there.

12/18/24 - FYI if anyone is rushing to this post office after work, they locked their door 15 minutes before closing today and wouldn’t let me in to join the line

It was 2pm 05/10/24. I am looking for a label to write down the address. There are none. There was only boxes. I have all my items packed into a flatrate box and am about to get in line when the clerk walks up, sees me, and locks the door and puts up a piece of paper that says out to lunch.
Update.
I waited until someone returned. Another clerk came into the service area and looked confused as to why the door was locked. Upon inquiry she told me she was on lunch and the other clerk was not supposed to leave. In the 30 minutes I was waiting for someone to return 27 customer came in to find the door locked.

My son-in-law dropped off an important package for me two days ago with two-day priority delivery and has paid receipt for almost $70. Tracking status says the following:Pre-ShipmentShipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting ItemALEXANDRIA, VA 22307December 27, 2023, 12:42 pmIt is in the possession of USPS, so it should not show that status for the tracking number. Not able to find anyone to help me.Package showed up after four days.

This Post office never stays open to it's actually time. It closes ~15-30 minutes early depending on the employees mood.Other than that the service is usually great.

Many thanks to Mrs. Flowers, she is very nice and helpful.

Heaven help you if you get M. Flowers at the "service" desk; if you do, don't make the mistake of asking for a strip of tape to seal your package. That's a bridge too far for the venerable USPS, a RETAIL (as she'll haughtily remind you) organization; not a service one. Then again, if being publicly condescended to is your jam, then this might be your dive after all. Happy mailing, & don't let your sense of professional decency & decorum hit you on the way out.

A literal joke- this post office seems to dictate Craddockville PO hours— so it’s rarely open. But our rates go up for less service, annually. So tired of going to fetch my mail and packages on my day off only to see a note on the door saying my next window of opportunity will be between 4 and 4:15.Unacceptable.

Helpful, nice and efficient.

I don’t think anyone expects to go into a post office and have it be a picture of efficiency, but this location defies expectation. On my last visit, I was there for 15 minutes with 8 people in line, and there was no change- not one person move forward. The only difference was that 4 people who had been waiting simply had to leave because it was taking too long. It would be worth it to go to another location since there are several nearby.

All these negative reviews, all outdated by postal snobs. They are efficient, polite and do the mail. Wtf. I have a friend from the UK named Timmons who knows his stuff about post offices, he says this is better than anything in the UK.

I've never written a review before but I just had too. This is the worst USPS I've ever been too I came to ship an item which I already had bought label for was told I had to pay for using a USPS bubble mailer I brought from home. So I ask to just have my package back so I can go home and use a different package but the older lady wouldn't give to me because she insisting I took it off the shelf when it clearly shows its been used before. She was rude raising her finger at me and telling me you had a chance to talk. It unbelievable how unprofessional they are and try to claim you stole something. This is not to mention how slow they are on a regular basis having one person at desk when their are people lined up all the out the door. Please use the other 3 or 4 USPS locations nearby

Virginia is for slowers, slower than Normal people trying to do everyday jobs in a land no one seems to be in a rush. I immediately assumed the place was under construction with all the hanging plastic and saran wrap everywhere but then I realized this is their protection from the flu because the flu can't find its way through saran wrap. I had plenty of time to analyze the place as I sat in line for 20 minutes waiting for an elderly women to count out 46 cents while I overlooked a bunch of people who had masks so clung to their faces I guarantee there brains couldn't receive oxygen. After a debate about Stamps coming in 20s and me wanting 30 that I couldn't get I bought the 20 and bounced

Stereotypical Government employees...don't care about service, slow, rude, unhelpful & just don't care. I wish a decent postal inspector would stand in line as a customer to see how they get treated. Recently they sent overnight mail to the wrong state by inputting the wrong zip code. Their job is to get this right. And aren't they supposed to have me confirm the address?...they never did. I hate this place! If it was not government-owned, service would be 100x better or it would have gone out of business a while ago.
