Came to the vitamin shoppe with my emotional support dog and was denied service on Thursday, June 8th at 11:48 am because the counter person was allergic to dogs. The funny thing is that my dog is hypoallergenic. I tried to explain to the person and he still denied me service.

Idk what people are on saying that Melvins rude, thats dude was probably the nicest store worker ive ever met, when i walked in he asked if i was looking for something and he directed towards it then gave me advice on how to use it, the guy was engaging, helpful and nice. Man was very helpful

Wow! I had an amazing experience in this store. Marvin, the store manager was extremely helpful. He answered all of my questions (I had a lot lol) and provided me with so much knowledge. I feel confident about my selection and I plan to return as a customer. Thank you so much Marvin!

First of all, I couldn't wait to get home to my laptop to write a review and I am sitting here still with my coat on. That is how excited I am.this evening I went to the Vitamin Shoppe in Capital Heights which I usually always patronize and after tonight, I will never go back there until management changes. I will leave that review below just to help set the stage before my arrival at the Potomac Yards location.CAPITOL HEIGHTS REVIEW:the young lady literally locked the door as I was walking up. I called to ask if I could please get the 2 items I drove 40 minutes for and she said no. she said the registers were closed as I visually see a guy walk up to the register and get checked out. This is a HUGE disappointment and the level of customer service in this case is unexplainable.Fast Forward to the PotomacYards location that made everything all BETTER!I walk in and IMMEDIATELY get greeted by both Marvin and Ricky. At the registered I was still so frustrated with my experience from the Capitol Heights location, they both allowed me to vent and listed while apologizing for the experience I had. what turned into running in to grab one item turned into about 15 minutes of chatting and laughing. When I tell you these guys turned my night around. I cannot thank them enough truly for helping me keep the confidence in a brand who myself and family have trusted for years. The Vitamin Shoppe has always been a family household name and because of Marvin and Ricky it will remain that way for me!Thanks guys you are truly the best!!!

My service dog and I just got turned away. My service dog is hypoallergenic but the guy insisted that I can't have a dog in the store because he's allergic.Did not argue just ask him if he was aware of service dog laws and he said it doesn't matter that the dog can't be inside the store. I said it okay turned around and left. Needles to say this store never getting my business. I'll be going to GNC

Last time visiting this location, short Spanish guy with glasses that works there thinks its a burden to help customers when you ask questions; sale items aren’t honored & when you question it, he tells you - “I can’t change the price”. Lack luster customer service & piss poor attitude! ??

This is so sad. I just walked in the store at 845pm and no one greeted me coming in the door. It was 1 lady and 1 man just stocking and ignoring me. I was going to just buy something but I just walked out. I’m diabetic and needed some recommendations. I guess I will just go to GNC.

Don't expect good customer service. The manager (I think Melvin) uses abusive and foul language. I will be driving out of my way to another location.

After almost 2 years of no requirement, this store decided to place a mask mandate this week when the pandemic is believed to be coming to a close. This makes no sense, especially for vaccinated customers. To make matters worse, neither of tonight's employees could clarify exactly when the mask mandate was required or why the mandate is being implemented this late in the pandemic. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
