DD and in went here for the first time Saturday afternoon to check out the closest sushi place to my new digs. When we walked into the place, it looked like a legit sushi house with a well stocked bar. Ambiance was mid upscale. We got gyoza, four rolls, a couple of a la nigiri. Gyoza was perfect. Crunchy outside and perfectly juicy and flavorful inside. The sushi did not disappoint. There was a wide selection of rolls and the menu was diverse enough to please non sushi eaters also. They had noodle dishes, teriyaki and poke bowls as well. Each roll had thick meaty pieces of fish and avocado that melted in your mouth. They were perfectly formed and rye rice was tender and moist. The gyoza came out quickly and the sushi followed soon after. The server was friendly, attentive and prompt. We were both very pleased with the whole experience and and will definitely be back.

One of the best sushi places Ive ever been! Ive been going here for nearly a decade or maybe even longer and have never had a bad experience. The food is consistently incredible, the sushi is amazing quality, and the service is super high quality and 100% down to earth. It's a pretty inconspicuous location but the interior is really relaxing and well-designed. I highly recommend the tempura ice cream, its an experience!Vegetarian options: Decent veggie options, definitely!Dietary restrictions: A wide menu that can be accommodating to certain dietary restrictionsParking: It's in an office park type thing so parking is never an issueKid-friendliness: They have booster seats if needed. I've been going since i was a kid and they are very nice!

Sushi was excellent. Try Godzilla, Hole In One, Garden, Volcano, if you can't make up your mind.Great service and definitely recommend this place.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants in the area. The fish is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The service is great. Pictured: Summer Dragon Roll

Delicious sushi, nice server and best Thai Ice Tea! I enjoyed the experience and it was very calm at the time of our visit. Also everything was prepared really fast and good quality.

First time here tonight; checking out spots near my new home and was Uber impressed! Much better than the sushi spots in Old Town. Service was very fine; nothing to elaborate about our order and she did a fine job. Ambiance is lovely; very comfy booths, lovely sushi bar and super duper clean. Will be back soon, and again after that;)

I’ve been here a handful of times before and it never disappoints. The selection and quality is superb and we were amazed by the white tuna, we had to reorder more during our meal.

Somehow this place is hit and miss. Pad se ew and sushi were good. The Udon dish was horrible. It's plain, like no taste at all. My kids said it tasted like water with plain noodles and plain veggies. However the shrimp tempura that came with it was so good. Service was not impressed either, only 1 server. She was nice but we couldn't wait 20-30 minutes to put the order in while hungry kids started to whine.

I love their large shrimp and vegetable tempura with crisp breading on crisp shrimp; shrimp have a great bite and taste. My companion loved the shrimp and scallop satay. My other companion lauds the sushi and rolls. It is a beautiful, intimate space with super friendly serving staff. It makes for a lovely evening. I cannot fathom how the word has not gotten out about this well run and delicious restaurant at a good price. I just want to make sure it is there for me next time. Suzi

Yamazato is one of the places that we still choose to go for sushi. I am not sure exactly what happened to the eel sauce. It's the second sushi restaurant recently where I found it too sweet and too plentiful. On the positive side, we enjoyed the miso soup and my husband really enjoyed the drunken noodles. I got the rock and roll ...roll...and I am not sure why they use cream cheese. I prefer a good old fashioned dragon roll with eel and tempura shrimp. Formerly, Yamazato custom prepared the roll that I wanted, but I was urged to choose from the menu.

Our first experience with Yamazato was a carry out order during the week. Two noodle dishes and two sushi rolls. Drunken noodles were very good and Pad See Ew was just okay. Avocado roll and crunchy Yellow Tail roll were both good. I suspect the crunchy rolls are even better when dining in, but both rolls were good and I would order them again. The gentleman at the front who took payment and gave us our order was very nice. I'm interested in dining in to see how things fare.

Came in on Sunday around 5:20pm right after they opened. There was only 1 family there and myself. The service was still slow. I ordered 2 drinks at the bar and I don't think the bartender knew how to make them. If they're complicated then don't put it on the menu I guess. My to go order took forever as well. The sushi was good but nothing better than what u get at other places. I feel like they charge a lot here. I won't be coming back

The food was delicious! I had the bulgogi and a la carte sushi. My friend had the teriyaki chicken. We both got a cocktail (chocolate martini and stardust martini i think) the gyoza was delicious. Very happy with my experience there!
