On-line bill pays is difficult, grounds maintenance is dismal and maintenance is pretty much nil.

BEWARE OF RODENTS! I used this facility for 2 years and paid over $4000 for an indoor storage unit and when I went to move our things out we found mouse poop and pee covering all of our belongings. Had to throw away couches and mattress and bedding and most of what we had in the unit. Very disappointed in how it was handled as the office did nothing about it and provided no solutions. So we paid all of that money to store our belongings just to have to throw them away and now buy all new things. Big waste of time and money.

i had my things in storage for a year. when i came back for them all of my furniture was ruined. there were openings in the unit where rain had gotten in. i lost 2couches, 3 mattresses, and some electronics. i asked for at least a partial refund to help replace my things but no one ever got back to me. i could have thrown all my stuff away from the beginning for all the use that unit was. i will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

The first time I called I got a really nice lady. A month later, when I was ready to rent a unit, I called three times, left 2 voice messages, and went by the place to speak to someone. Three days later and I still haven't received a call back and when I went by their onsite office it was cleaned out, gates open, no one around.

I've used several storage facilities in the past, and Amherst Storage has been my best experience so far. Lynn is very helpful, easy to get along with and provides excellent customer service. After researching other facilities in the area, Amherst Storage by far had the best rates. The property is well kept and maintained as well as COMPLETELY GATED and located beside the police station for added security. I am completely happy with the decision I made. Â **One note compared to other facilities on the size of the units - The storage area can hold much more than a normal facility as the ceilings are very high in comparison to other units I've rented.
