“My husband and I have been going to Dr T for 10 years now - wow, time flies! We lived in Falls Church and then moved to DC in 2013 and we still go to Dr T even though there are Doctors closer to us in DC. We like him and his office that much. He is a great doctor and always detailed and complete with us. He is also adapted telehealth appointments which has made things easier. Also, his nursing team is great - if you are scared of needles - don't be at his office as they are all pro's and you barely, if you even do, feel a thing during blood draws and injections! He and his office are all very LGBT friendly and he is very conscientious of LGBT Health. My husband and I appreciate this and are more than comfortable in coming to his office. I would highly recommend Dr. T and his office for members of the LGBTQ+ community. Just recently, he no longer took our insurance and we switched during open enrollment to continue to be his patients. Dr. T is a great primary care physician and I hope that you and your family would consider him for your internal/primary care”

“My visit with Patricia was worth the hefty price (no insurance coverage offered). Since it is my first visit to the lower Southeast part of Asia, I opted to try this travel clinic. Patricia was very informative and offered good tips to prepare for my trip. In addition, she filled out the yellow travel vaccination cards for us while the other practioner my husband had did not do so and he was 'pressured' to take shots that may not have been necessary since he had previously visited the destination.So I am appreciative of the fact that Patricia did not pressure us to take any additional shots but just gave me her recommendations based on latest CDC guidelines.Highly recommend her.”

“I brought my 3-year-old daughter for some type of allergic reaction and the staff were amazing. They quickly gave her the medicine and one of the staff stayed and comforted my 5-year-old daughter while the 3-year-old got a shot. They were all so maternal towards my daughters and I will never go to any urgent care ever. Also let it be known that I myself broke my hand last month and the staff here gave me a very sturdy splint that the doctors I followed up with were impressed about. This place is the best!”

“I 100% recommend VMA. As a new patient I felt comfortable and very welcomed by the staff. I was able to book an appointment over the phone, and they had availability that same week. The day of my appointment, their computers were down as they were in the middle of switching operating systems, but even with that happening/having to hand write everything, the flow of my visit was seamless. My nurse (Ingrid), and PA-C (Audrey Keen), were both very kind and welcoming. Wait time was minimal, I'd say between 10-15 minutes (it is a doctors office after all, so I thought that wait time was exceptional!) but they still apologized for any delay. The office was clean and masks are now optional. Overall, I had a great experience.”

“This was my first time going in for in annual since 2017 and I was nervous due to being larger and previous negative experience but this office made me feel so at ease! I completed all my check in documents 2 days before and provided my ID and insurance so all the front desk did was verify I had them with me. I only waited about 5 mins before being taken back for my vitals, all done very efficiently and waited 10 mins for Dr. Hegde who was the star of my amazing experience. He immediately made me feel at ease, was very respectful and polite, constantly checking in with me and making sure I was informed of everything being done. Bloodwork was quick and easy, and I was in and out of the office in an hour! I will definitely be coming again, and will definitely make Dr. Hegde my PCP ?”

“If you don't have insurance and will be covering the cost of your visit out-of-pocket Dr. Zia is the one to see! I’m privately employed and currently without health insurance, and Dr. Zia has been such a caring doctor! Not just nice, but you can tell he sacrifices a lot to make sure people who struggle to afford healthcare (like me) can be treated at an affordable price. Like waaaaay more affordable (half of what other doctors in the area charge as of Sept. 2018)! He is kind, asks questions, has a vest of different cell phones to keep track of everything and he’s always super busy. I don’t speak Spanish, and the clinic is geared towards this, but it’s totally fine, the staff speaks English too, and they’ve always been knowledgeable and friendly - plus I like watching the Spanish soap operas in the waiting room and trying to guess what they’re saying by the dramatic music and body language :)The receptionist told me the practice is open for walk-in patients as well, so you don't necessarily need an appointment, but it's a good idea to have one because they’re usually busy unless you get there early in the morning. I’ve waited up to 2.5 hours on a Saturday (it was flu season). The waiting is never an issue for me, because it’s the care and the very low cost that make it busy - and that should be understood. They don’t allow scheduling appointments on Saturday’s, it’s walk-in’s only.”

“I want to start off by saying I had a very negative attitude about seeing my doctor because I’ve never had great care. Dr Balcha changed my attitude. He was very kind and considerate. He listened to my concerns and seemed to genuinely want to help. I was also impressed with Amanda the phlebotomist. She had a positive attitude and made the blood draw quick and as painless as a blood draw can be. I recommend this facility for sure. I gave four stars because, although the service was great, I had to wait for an extended amount of time before being called back to the examination room. They could definitely improve on wait times.”

“I think I've been going to this office for 6 years now, even before they moved to this location. Despite moving out of the area, I still make the drive to this location. I generally see Dr. Mircea although I have also seen PAs here, including one that has moved out-of-state and most recently Michelle Tran. I always felt comfortable and listened to with my concerns. They are really easy to talk to. Their lab tech has always been quick and precise when I do my blood work, which if you're familiar with, is something to be much appreciated. The negative comments seem to direct more towards the front office, but I think they have gotten much better throughout the years. I go to other doctor's offices for specialized care, and FMAA always impressed me the most by how much they make their office welcoming to Spanish speakers, which is evident from the many patients I hear and see in the waiting area. Also, this office is well-located because it's near the hospital and other specialty medical care. When I needed an x-ray for example, I could just walk across the parking lot to the next building and get it done same day. As long as I'm in VA, and they take my insurance, I will keep coming to this office for primary care.”
