I very rarely post reviews but my experience here was so so so bad that I have too.I’d like to thank Irene first though who was the cashier that I initially was in line with. She did her best in trying to assist me in a professional manner, but the cashier that is behind her, her name starts with an E - Em or El an older Hispanic lady) I can not say the same.I got an e-gift card for Thanksgiving for $50 from my job. I do not typically shop at Giant because I have a grocery store connected to my apartment so I went out of my way to shop here to be able to use this card. I had used it for about $40 the day before and had about a $10 balance. Irene tried punching in the gift card numbers and was getting some kind of error code. The cashier behind her as Irene goes to press for help (from a manager) decides to come to her register to “help” but clearly more to escalate this issue because before I could even explain what was going on she glanced at my e-gift card and says “We don’t accept this method for payment” she says “we need the physical gift card.” I’m explaining to her there is no physical gift card because it’s an E-GIFT CARD that is electronic and this lady storms off saying “no no we can’t use it” while I’m speaking. She goes to Customer Service to “for a manager” and comes back and says the manager said they don’t take it and that I can step out of line to speak with her if I have questions. (As I’m paying for $200 worth of groceries.)I go to customer service and the manager says “yes we do take e-gift cards” in front of this lady who decided to insert herself in this issue without knowing what was going on or trying to find real resolve. We go back to the register and Irene and this lady try to type it again and I guess they get an error code again so she starts chuckling saying “I told you we can’t use it.” Now good customer service at that point would’ve been if the MANAGER came knowing there was an escalation to try to help take care of the issue. But instead I had to deal with a nasty cashier that didn’t know what she was talking about looking for problems.I spent $185 dollars here and would imagine that my business would at least allot me a little bit of respect. No I did not get to use my gift card, so for all of that I could’ve just went to the grocery store that’s connected to my apartment. All of this was a major inconvenience, and not how you treat customers. $10 off is not a lot of money at all but the principle is what matters the most.

I love this location, the produce is my favorite section to shop and the staff is friendly. The Deli and bakery are delicious departments as well; will definitely be coming back to shop!

DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM THIS LOCATION. I ordered a week in advance, had my confirmation, but when I arrived to pick it up they said they didn't have anything for me. I had to wait 40 minutes for them to find things/throw things together but that made me arrive at with the food after the event had started causing a Giant (heheh) mess. (even when I got food they had no plastic serving utensils to give me so I guess people are supposed to use their hands to get the food onto their plates lol?)Giant, reliability is so important to anyone using your catering service, entire events rely on your swift and accurate response to customers. Instead your disorganization negatively impacts a nonprofit doing good work in your community. Sad.

Been going to this Giant Food store since 1955, in my mother's arms. Consistently great service, great staff and clean. Handicap friendly, Handicap van parking IF PEOPLE STOP PARKING IN THE HASH MARKS! Ramps can't go in or out and no room for the wheelchair!

Today at approximately between 7:15 pm - 7:20 pm I experienced the absolute worst customer service from a middle aged lady working the self check out who seem to be 5’2 between the ages 35 and 50. The poor lady was beyond disrespectful and extremely rude. I was taken by surprised because this have been my neighborhood giant for 3 years and I never encountered Such a disgusting person like this in my life anywhere before. When I get her name (which I will be) I’m definitely going to update my comment but for now here’s my story.I checked out with a few items with cash and in the process of paying for said items, the screen froze and then the self check out screen requested cashier assistance. I waited about 2 and a half minutes because she was tending to other customers concerns and issues (which is completely understandable, I get it. That wasn’t my concern.) my concern was her way of not assisting me the way she was supposed to. She came over with an obnoxious attitude and demanded I owed the amount with out even examining the issue at hand. Upon trying to explain to her that I already paid the amount, she still insisted that I didn’t. She voided my transaction and when doing so, the amount that I paid came out. (Because like I said lol I already paid the amount) - (I guess she felt embarrassed at that point because I was right) … she then smacked her lips, snatched my money out the machine grabbed my belongings and proceeded to take my items along with my money to customer service. while still at the self check out line gathering my bags and purse, I heard and seen she slapped my items on the customer counter. By that point the customer service reps were extremely confused because she didn’t give them any information as to why she brought me over there in the first place. So because I felt it was impossible to get the problem resolved in such short time I felt I had no time to explain what I had already explained to the previous employee. I left… leaving the problem unresolved. And leaving the items I paid for behind because they weren’t bagged. I feel beyond violated I feel extremely embarrassed and I feel disrespected… tomorrow I will be returning to the store to request a refund for the items that I paid for that I didn’t receive and I pray an issue doesn’t occur upon doing so.

Average Giant that seems like it was a retail store back in the day. The store wasn't too crowded and the aisles aren't too narrow so those are pluses. The deli service is friendly but below average in terms of giving you what you want if thin sliced or shaved turkey. Your order will be thicker than you request. This Giant is fine if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip to go here.

One of the better Food Giants in the area. This location has a great produce selection, the aisles "make sense", and it's a clean location. This is probably my favorite Giant to come to.The only downside, and this is new, is that they've just implemented a feature in their quick checkout that requires items to be placed on the bagging area. What this means is, apart from being like the rest of the Giant stores; you can't scan items and place them back in your cart or into the larger reusable bags. This substantially slows down the checkout process and an increase in customer service attendance because if you move items, there's a high chance the system will misread the weight in the bagging area and stop the scanning process until someone clears it.This becomes an inconvenience when there's a huge line and other people are experiencing similar issues at their registers.

Ordered cake at the bakery for my kid’s birthday. Gave details to the order for which the bakery attendant wrote down at a piece of paper. I asked if there is an order slip or any documentation. I was told there is none and that I just need to come back on pick up day to pay. At pick up day (my child’s birthday) they had not baked the cake nor do they have the order on file. I’ve had to improvise using another cake (to my kid’s dismay.) I highly recommend not going here for any cake order. Poorly run bakery operations….
