“My experience with Ace Hardware is solely from where I grew up in CT. This is a lot different, in a better way (I guess that’s a subjective thought). I was “used to” an unorganized place full of actual hardware from a-z as well as a lot of indoor/outdoor paint and a paint mixer. In short, I was used to Ace hardware being targeted at real handymen in the midst of a project and in need or something very specific.This store is like “a little of everything” for every part of your apartment. It’s walkable from a lot of apartments around here, and it sells all sorts of things you might need in your apartment (you don’t need to be a handyman or hardcore DIY-er to find a bunch of useful things). A huge variety of things you might need in a pinch. Granted, most are really overpriced, but I wouldn’t complain because it’s all about convenience and location. If you complain about the prices, go ahead and drive into Virginia, lose an hour of your day and walk up and down a huge store. Overall, the convenience and variety in this store is worth slightly higher prices. Nice people, as well.”

They carry literally anything you could hope to buy at a hardware store (and many things you wouldn't expect) and virtually every employee I've interacted with there over the years has been kind, friendly, and helpful. They have set the standard for hardware stores in the area!”

“Strange review here, but I am a 20 year old female and my headlights both went out at the same time traveling at night. I live about 3 hours away and I stopped here for help. I arrived 25 minutes before close and every worker came out to help me with my car. They spent about 45 minutes checking my fuse boxes and headlights as well as charging my phone. The workers here are more than kind and extremely willing to help a stranger in need. I recommend Glen Echo Hardware store for all of your needs.”

“When painting your house, it's best to go with the professionals. The folks at Sherwin Williams are. Quality comes with a higher price tag to a degree, but so does the advice and guidance you'll find here. Am pleased to have bought my paints and supplies here, and it was my hardcore detailed contractor who got me here. He only works with top tier materials. I agree with his theory "anything house related get great quality." He's been in the business for years, and his reputation is sterling. I found the employees here very approachable. They heard out what I was going for, and let's just say they found the best green color I could even dream of. The bedroom and a storage room downstairs, look far better thanks to them. I'm very pleased to give them the highest rating here. All of the employees are exceptional, and their ideas along with suggestions, have helped me add value to the house.”

The gentleman working yesterday 5.23 morning left the store to open the usps door open as I was carrying several boxes. If that's how they treat a stranger not even entering their store I can't imagine how excellent their customer service is. Thank you again sir!”
