A wonderful, quiet little shop full of traditional Korean hanbok, and some ornamental and household items. I am adopted from South Korea and my family never embraced my heritage, so I have been wanting to get a hanbok now that I am an adult. The woman working this shop listened to my story and pulled out a hanbok that would fit me immediately. She put it on me, and found some accessories to go with it as well. She said I looked cute in it and we laughed a little together. I bought it for $350, a very good price versus the +$1000 prices for hanbok I was finding online. Had a lovely experience here and the hanbok and other goods are authentic and gorgeous! :)

I went in here to look for things to put on my child’s baek-il table. They had pretty things and some things were bit more pricey but others were decently priced...but customer service or the lack of bubbly personality was not desired. I asked how long it takes to order a hanbok and she answered 1 month so flatly. Even though, I wanted to ask more questions, I didn’t.

We rented the paebaek set that worked out perfectly for our wedding. We were able to set up and put the outfits together ourselves thanks to detailed guidance we got in advance.

We recently visited Rose Hanbok to look for hanbok rentals for our wedding. The appointment went well. Their selection isn't as wide as the other hanbok place in Annandale. But we managed to select one.In hindsight, I should have asked if there is a deposit that is required and what the policies are around that. But also was not given information about it beforehand. We were asked to put a deposit when we selected the hanbok at the appointment. The owner didn't mention how much we should deposit, whatever we wanted to. The owner did not go over any policies about deposit and payment information but just to pick it up on a Friday.But then later on the phone when we said that we have changed our plans, the owner said that the deposit is non-refundable and didn't even know what we deposited. She wanted to only voice her opinion and was not willing to hear me out.If you are looking for a place where the business is clear with their policies, this is not the place! I just caution you to be very clear in your questions so that you don't run into any issues.

I went into the store and they have interesting merchandise but… the person who served was a woman with oriental features, already big and super impolite and rude. I took a piece of wood from a charming duckling to know the price that was at the bottom of the piece and the truth is very expensive, I returned it to its place and the woman took it and whipped it instead. I'll never go back!!... obviously I left immediately, I didn't even get to see the whole store.

I called ahead and the woman who answered said I don’t need an appointment. I get there, they have the door locked even though the sign says it’s open and well past their opening time. She opens the door and while we’re in the middle of browsing through and she’s pulling out dresses for us to try, she suddenly said that she was having a personal meeting with someone and told us to come back next week. I asked why she’s doing that during business hours, and she said that this shop wasn’t really her business, she was just covering for her friend, the owner who currently in Korea. I was so disappointed and shocked by the lack of professionalism and courtesy to the customer. I will not be coming back here. Not to mention she was completely clueless when I asked about pricing. I understand if the original owner isn’t there, but whoever is manning the shop should be ready and able to cover.

Every time I come to the store during the work hours, it's always locked. I recently went and it said they were taking customers by appointment only, so I called the number listed but no one answered and an employee came to the door and said no, then walked away. I loved the stuff I got there once before but ever since that one time I've never been able to get inside again.
