I have been a regular customer of Appomattox, true value for years. They occasionally send me a five dollar coupon. Up until my visit today ,they’ve let me save up my coupons and use them , and I was told by the people that work there, on more than one occasion that they’ll take them, even if they’re expired. So I save mine up so I can save $15 or $20 off my first bottle of propane of the season . Went in there today and they refused to take them. What a bunch of crap. I would’ve been satisfied since I had four if they took two . If that’s their new policy, I think that would’ve been a fair compromise. However, they basically told me tough shit. Guess I’m out that 20 bucks. Guess I’ll be moving my propane business to another “local” business.

I needed a light sensor replaced and True Value came through investigating the part number and confirming it was the same as the one I had though the numbers were a bit different. Really appreciated their staff going the extra to help!

Went to Appomattox True Value for small screws to repair a lawnmower. Janelle helped me find exactly what I needed. Also enjoyed the garden plants of spring.

I am always happy when I use Tru Value in Appomattox. They are all friendly, helpful, professional and really care about me as a customer. They are the place left anywhere close that still does the work/repair on my Kerosene unit. Thank you TruValue in Appomattox!

I have no idea what Karen was talking about in that review. Every time I am there, the staff and manager is always very helpful. They have a whole assortment of screws and fasteners and you can buy as many as you need. They also have an impressive section of rental items. And yes, most of us do not wear masks round here!

The are a good company but just a word of advice to check your tools before you rent them. We got a damaged chainsaw and wasn't able to take it back right away, but when we took it back the next day they gave us a full refund and told us they usually only do it within a few hours after renting. But because the chain was so badly beaten I guess they felt obliged.
