I recently moved in two months ago and have loved my experience so far, the entire apartment team from the concierge, maintenence and management are all personable and friendly. The apartment is a bit expensive however it provides an amazing atmosphere and beautiful place to show off to guest. Everyone I've met are friendly and you will not regret taking a look.

Habtu, who is a maintenance technician for Altaire Apartments, did an outstanding job responding to a non-urgent maintenance request I submitted only last night. He was extremely thorough and most conscientious in his work. I couldn’t be more satisfied with his workmanship..

DO. NOT MOVE. HERE.!!!!! If you do stay away from the third floor. And DEFINITELY stay away from ANY units near the Gym. I lived in 322 right next to the gym and it was a year of random crashes, thuds and other noises at ANY time during 24 hours. I don't begrudge anyone being active and fit but when it comes through my walls at 4 am or 3pm while I'm working...That's a problem.
I recorded my glasswear clinking against each other, me going into the gym multiple times asking people NOT to drop weights and asking management to post signs and move me to another unit. They, for the most part, were incompetent. And offered me the pleasure paying $10k to move.
Staff turnover is probably above industry average and Ashley seems to be the only one that has any sense about her.
The thrash chutes were constantly jammed and backed up, construction is constant and some of the other poor residents were without AC for an ungodly amount of time. Please choose another building. Try other JBG properties in National Landing. There are newer, well run buildings in a 7 minute walk.
The kicker is they want me to pay $770 or so because I couldn't take the noise any longer. I'll pay them in pennies if I am forced to pay.

Stay away. It's a steady stream of problems here. An elevator has been out for six months. The HVAC on one floor was recently out all week while on another floor the system was out for weeks during the heat of the summer. Trash chutes are regularly locked with trash piling up in the trash room. I currently have a problem with a smoke detector but the building doesn't view this as an emergency issue and is taking its sweet time in responding.
They will try and show off with amenities and nice views, but when you peel back the curtain, it's a poorly run building in which there is always something broken. You can do better elsewhere.

POT SMOKERS, DOMESTIC DISTURBANCES, CONDESENDING MANGAGEMENT- 6:30 am wake ups because the neighbors are fighting and late-night parties. Dogs barking for 5am to 7am. Management acts like you are inconveniencing them when you ask for them to resolve issues.YOU CANT REALLY CONTROL TEMPS IN APT. The building is saying its totally normal to not be able to control the temperature in your apartment. lolz. Basically in warmer months, the temperature doesn't go below 70 degrees and some nights wont even go below 72. So if you like to sleep in a cool environment like me this is not the place for you. In the colder months they are pumping so much hot air into the building that tenants have to have the AC running when its 15 decrees out.The heating/cooling system is a VRF system which have big problems if they are not properly designed and/or maintained. I have written papers on these systems, but I am not sure what the issue here is. My guess is maintenance does not have training on the system and management doesn't know enough about the systems to see that there is a problem. (update issue has persisted from summer into fall. The response below is for show)
