Apple is breaking the Right to Repair Laws by making the process of a simple fix much more time consuming and complicated. All I need is a new battery and the two things they do to annoy customers is 1/ tell you it’s not in stock and they have to order it (3-5days) then it will take 2/ 3-5 more days to actually replace the battery. REALLY PEOPLE!!!? Battery replacement may take an hour. Apple is deliberately trying to annoy its customers so it forces them to make a choice of buying a new computer to avoid extensive down time. This is not only customer unfriendly but it is also poor climate policy. Apple… you are capable of much better than this. I am a long time customer and I am so angry with you and your shady snake oil ways. Do better.

I went in to change the battery, they suggested a trade in, I accepted to hear the offer, I liked the offer and accepted it. Then they told me that the data transfer from old to new device will take 1.5 hour, and I have to pay full price, do the data transfer at home and return the old device to get the trade in value. It got complicated so I went back to changing the battery, they took my phone and told me to come back in three hours. The waiting time doubled for less valued service. Obviously sales and maintenance have no coordination. I’ve been to Apple stores four times in my life, and everytime I leave upset. To be fair, everyone was kind but store management is obviously bad.

I went to this store to replace my phone battery and was left with an almost unusable device. The employee who evaluated my phone was very kind but did not clearly state the risks of this repair. He only mentioned that the screen protector could get damaged during the repair but did not say that other internal components could get damaged.I went home after receiving the phone and after making one phone call I discovered that the ear speaker got ruined during the repair.I took the phone back to the genius bar today (3 days after the initial repair) for the repair warranty and was told that the receiver was damaged and would be over $200 to get it fixed.I feel as if I had been scammed and the store employees are very aggressive trying to convince you to upgrade to a new device. My phone got broken during a simple battery replacement and the store took no responsibility for such damage, I honestly feel like it was done on purpose so I would get a new phone. I have been a loyal Apple customer for years and feel let down and taken advantage of by the company.Apple should not offer any component replacement if it there’s not guarantee that the rest of the device is going to be untouched.Technicians should do a full diagnosis of the devices upon receiving it and make sure that everything works after the repair, before giving it back to the customer.I wanted to fix the battery to extend the life of my phone and because of my commitment to sustainability but I am left with a worse phone and pressured to buy a new one after your store broke a perfectly functional phone. Also, the waiting time is ridiculously long, in both occasions I made an appointment and was still left waiting for over 30 minutes before someone could see me. The appointment system is pointless if the waiting times are so long.

Rayvon ( works in the Genius Bar department ) was very rude and had an attitude towards me just because I had questions about my insurance that I pay for, not warranty that is free. He should not be in any leadership or customer service role

I went in unknowingly 10 minutes before closing with an urgent charging issue and Axel at the Genius Bar helped me immediately and was very gracious. Thank you.

The employee with green hair and the employee with the handlebar mustache were both very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was kind and helpful and I appreciate employees going the extra mile to improve our experience.

So, this is my first-ever one-star review, and honestly, it's not something I'm thrilled about. Came into your store all excited to get my wife a new iPhone and do a simple transfer. Well, that excitement took a nosedive pretty quick. We explained what we wanted, but the salesperson was all about pushing us to upgrade to the next iPhone tier and add more cloud storage. I said no, no, and no again. Despite showing the exact amount of data we needed to transfer, we were promised it would take no more than 2 hours. Spoiler alert: it took a whopping 4 hours before we finally escaped the store. With a ton of time on our hands, I thought, I would read and categorize previous customer reviews for the last 12 months trailing. Why not give back with a creative review on Google? So, here are the top categories (I was able to bucket with nothing but time on my hands) of customer failure for the store's management team:- Incompetent staff / lack of knowledge- Poor customer service- Ridiculous wait time / inefficiency- Misleading information / annoying upselling tacticsFor future customers, here's a tip: whatever time a Specialist gives you, double it for a more realistic expectation. And if you find yourself stuck waiting for hours, might as well whip out your phone and leave a real-time review. If you're smart, head to an Apple Store in D.C. Trust me, it's a better move.I hope this helps you guys step up your game because, honestly, it needs some improvement.
