DO NOT USE THIS BANK. They lost my car title. It has taken over a dozen emails and calls to figure this out. They claim they mailed it, but don't have a tracking number. They offered to pay for the duplicate but did not seem concerned that I'd have to sit at the DMV for a day, drive 60+ miles.

I wanted a credit union, not a bank, with Saturday hours. I looked around and ultimately chose ACFCU for its professionalism, helpfulness and efficiency. They explained their products without hard selling me, were exceptionally courteous, and clearly knew their business. And they get bonus points for notarizing a legal document on my first visit and for having fantastic CD rates -- currently 5.4% on a 6 month CD.

I had a little problem but one thing about AFCU they are amazing I love the upper management they reach out to me and took care my problem personally Ms Mary called me personally and talked to me,cared about what I was going through and continue to tell me things would get better the Arlington community credit Union treated me like I was truly familyFrom my heart Thank you so much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place is a mess. Been a member for close to 20 years and I will be cancelling my membership not because of one specific thing, but a culmination of how downhill this place has gotten over the past 5 to 10 years. Historically they've had nice welcoming people that were at least member focused (professional service culture). Granted they didint have the most competitive rates and services, you were at least treated like they valued your membership. They claim community and strong member benefits but you can get those benefits and more elsewhere much more conveniently.Without going into specifics my last several visits there were terrible. It most likely stems from their CEO and corporate leadership despite their attempts at positive local PR (I mean look at how many dissatisfied members there are). They have the ability to integrate a professional and service oriented misssion but they dont. One example is branch managers who tend to work with a chip on their shoulders when dealing with matters adhoc. But it's not their fault, it's systemic and company wide. Poor leadership training and development or poor talent acquisition in the first place etc.Long Story Short, Leadership and culture is poor, service is not member focused or friendly, and you gain nothing being part of this "community" based credit union.

I have had an account at this credit union since 1974. At the time I opened my account and for several decades, the CU was like family. CU employees and customers were on a first-name basis because, at that time, we all worked for Arlington County. Today, I called to get information about CDs--just information. I was told that I would need a code word. I know nothing about a code word. The person told me I chose a code word when I opened my account. Almost 50 years ago, when I opened my account, I can guarantee that I did not have a code word. Even though I was able to answer every question the person asked--social security number, etc., that wasn't enough. I simply wanted information about CDs and to verify the steps to open a CD from my account online, but, without the "code word," the information was a no go. Kind of silly. I absolutely agree that accounts should be protected, but this seems over the top. If I could find a CU/bank with good rates and responsive, friendly customer service, I would move my money in a heartbeat.

Do NOT deal with this incompetent credit union.I was forced to deal with it when my original credit union closed and my money was automatically transferred.I've had nothing but trouble with ACFCU since. It has brought foot-dragging to a new low.

DO NOT BANK HERE FOR ANY REASON!!!! Save yourself the hassle. This is the worst bank I have ever banked at. Rude inconsiderate and unapologetic. Snafu with a bill pay caused a 30 day late payment and they reported me with out even reaching out. 30days past due the first time in the life of a loan and your report it on day 31? Called to discuss and the customer service lady's first comment when I said I wasn't contacted stated we don't have to by law with a sarcastic attitude. It went down hill from there and quickly. When you already know you have bad policies you get defensive right off the bat. I don't know how anyone could work for a company like that. Seriously never even asked me if things were ok? You never miss a payment let's see what we can do. Not phone calls no letters nothing. Just here is a late fee and a hit on your credit because you know your have been such a great customer. For a small bank they have zero regard for their customers. Not even sure why they are in business other then to hurt other people with fees and bad practices. I have been with them for 16 years. Have always not really cared for this place and have had many customer service issues I just over looked. Not anymore. Paying loan off and will never look back. Please save your self the headache and pull you money out of this bank and put it in any bank but here.

This is cross post as the actual incident happened at the Columbia Pike location. I want all customers to be on notice that this bank steals customer money. We put $2250 into their ATM and the machine only counted $1750. We tried to communicate with the bank to give us our missing $500 but they essentially called us liars and refused to help us. Regarding their reply, no one has reached out yet with any willingness to solve this issue. After months of talking around in circles the bank has reiterated that they will steal your money and will find all manner of excuse to avoid taking any accountability.

Every 6 months I have to change my debit card information with this bank. It’s ridiculous. I don’t have this issue with my only banks, this is bank. I have had 3 different cards in the last year and a half. They need to put in better software or firewalls. This seriously needs to stop happening.
