Outstanding service and professional. They went beyond the call of duty to help my girlfriend and I secure a home. Highly recommend going to this branch and banking with BB&T!

I was just at this location to get a replacement card. Vida was extremely helpful in helping me do that. She went above and beyond the customer service call of duty to make sure that I got what I needed because she deleted the card versus replaced the card. That caused me to have to go through extra steps.

On May 13th, 2019, I opened Checking and Savings Business accounts at BB&T online. On the morning of the 14th, I went into the Crystal City Branch (at 2221 South Eads Street, Arlington, VA 22202) to deposit a $X check to my new checking account and $XX check to my saving account. I was helped by Branch Coordinator Aid? E? F???? who processed my checks and wished me a happy day. Around thirty minutes later I receive a call from the branch, where Aida tells me that she was unable to process the checks because one was missing a signature on the front and the other required two signatures on the front. She stated that she called the issuer and left a message for the CFO to call her back. I told her that I had meetings all day and I probably would not be able to get it till much later or the next day. As luck would have it, I had a gap in my schedule and got back to the Branch to pick up the checks. I signed one and had that deposited. The other required the issuer to sign - as the check said Two signatures required. I was told to call the issuer and work something out. I called the CFO of the issuer and she told me that she had the strangest and most bizarre call of her career with Aida from BB&T. Her accounting is that Aida called her asking about the check number. She said Yes, it is legit and it is for that entity and that person. Then Aida said that the front of the check said "Two Signatures Required" and that they have to follow that instruction. The CFO for the issuer said that the signature was from the CEO and that even though check has that language, they always have only the CEO sign checks and have had no problems before. Aida insisted that the check was fraudulent and there is nothing to be done but return it. When she relayed the interaction to her CEO, he asked my race. Guess my race! When I heard the interaction, I assumed bias based on my skin tone. I returned to the bank a few hours later to talk to V??? N????. I spent another 90 minutes to come to the say conclusion. I will give it a few weeks to see how Vida performs on my case. I am having the issuer send a wire transfer, in lieu of a check, and hopefully that BB&T will do the right thing and waive the wire transfer fee. Needless to say, I do not have much confidence in BB&T and this entire episode was soured my opinion of the entire organization.

I lost my BB&T card in the ATN machine at this location. Manager tried to get it from machine but said she couldn't access that part the machine. She gave me a temporary card. She said she will call me when they get it out. Now 6 days later no call. Called the bank manager and was informed that they are not returning my card but will send me a new card. Oh yeah with a different number. Now I have to spend time changing all my stuff attached to this card. Not very happy at this point. Manager was not real helpful, knowledgeable or proactive in calling me back.
