Extremely unprofessional and rude. I only considered going back after my first haphazard experience as they were recommended by family. They actually advised me wrongly about DCA, had to check and correct all their submissions with multiple mistakes ( ex. standard deductions claimed when itemized was higher) and they keep blaming software and time for any errors or numbers they can't explain. All reviews seem to be from family and friends. To top it this year, I got $50 increase on my tax bill without any discussions and such bad service. Do not recommend this business. They seem to have too many clients than they can handle anyway.

I came in here to talk to a tax advisor, who was condescending, rude, and I was surprised that she just started the meeting by assuming that I did everything wrong with my own business taxes. Why make assumptions like that without even letting me speak first? And the lack of knowledge is also alarming, with questions like “so what does this ‘Square’ do?” I walked out after 10 minutes because I cant trust my business with someone like this. And apparently this is a Master Tax Expert too…

My parents have been customers of H&R Block for 40ish years and this year, they've shown their lack of professionalism time and again. I called them a month before my father's appointment to discuss things to bring for my mother's estate. It took 6 calls/messages before I was able to get a return call and was told that I didn't need to bring anything different. Then we get a call asking to move our appointment. Get there and he had no clue about estates and was told that we should leave the paperwork and he'd call us later that day. 4 calls/messages and 3 weeks later, I finally hear from him - but he didn't mean to call us. Swears that he'll call us by the end of the day... still waiting. When I spoke to someone else and asked to speak to a manager-type person I was told that they were busy with clients and would not speak to me - and wouldn't take a message. Once we get my father's taxes and the estate taxes done this year, we are never using H&R Block again! I understand that we are in a very busy time of the year, but this should have been taken care of 3 weeks ago, not this close to the filing deadline.
