“Brought in our 1985 BMW 524td, as it was stalling and having difficulty starting. Steve welcomed the opportunity to work on the car but noted that the repair work would present some challenges, including that their tech, Alberto, was less familiar with diesels (but willing to try), that it would be difficult to get parts, and that there is no diagnostic tool for a car of that age. He flagged what the likely issues were and that we'd need to go through a process of elimination. Since we had already called dealers and other German auto shops with no interest elsewhere, we took a chance on German Auto Group.
Over a period of two months, they had to order glow plugs, gaskets, a cooling system connector, fuel pump, sometimes from Germany. Each time Steve researched the original 1985 part numbers and then found the best price and quickest shipping possible, using reliable sources. They replaced the glow plugs and fuel pump (with some minor accompanying parts), fixed the starting/stalling issue, and now the car is running like a champ!
The best part was that Steve continuously communicated updates on progress, what we needed next, and involved me in the process.
The labor charge was very reasonable and our car is back on the road!

“My great experience with SAFELITE began a couple of days before my appointment. I had a few questions about my windshield and wiper replacement. The person I spoke with was incredibly friendly and helpful. On the day of my appointment, they promptly took my car and, to my surprise, completed the work that was supposed to take an hour and a half to two hours in just an hour. They even managed to save my safety inspection sticker and the one to open my garage gate, which they placed back on the new windshield. “I had my Audi Q4 eTron windshield replaced recently, and they did a great job! Because of all the tech involved with this car and glass, I had to drop my car off at their location instead of them coming to me, which was fine. During the process, they contacted me with information regarding my car: it was not calibrating properly and giving them error codes. Despite their repeated attempts, it would not calibrate, but they had a solution: I picked up my car a couple hours later and drove it with some of the sensor features disabled, but returned a week later for them to replace the windshield again. This time, it calibrated and I was quickly back on the road with my new-new windshield and my car's safety features all in working order. The technician was communicative, professional, and friendly, and the desk staff was very personable. We also had our Honda Pilot's windshield replaced a couple months prior (it was not a great summer for our windshields!) and they did a great job then as well!”
