I call this location Cold Power. There are some great instructors here, but unfortunately the studio is rarely hot enough unless it’s an HPF class.

I took advantage of the free week here. Convenient location, but do have to add a few minutes to find parking either on street or at garages nearby.
They offer several classes throughout the day so you're not bound to either morning or evening classes. The showers are a nice plus as well, for those of us going back to work.

I’ve been on an unlimited plan with Core Power for two months now. I’m a huge fan of being able to use my HSA to pay for this membership- and they offer a discounted rate for public service workers which is an added bonus! I love that there are so many studios and you can go to any of them you’d like-while I was in Ohio for the holidays I was still able to take class everyday! For this studio specifically in Pentagon City, I really like that there are two classrooms because they are able to offer many more classes throughout the day. My favorite instructor is Monica- her Saturday 10:15 yoga sculpt is AMAZING!! And Chelsea Da whose yoga sculpts go SO HARD! My go to class in general is yoga sculpt as well as HPF.
My one issue with this studio
is that many times we will only be given 1-2 minutes in Savasana at the end of class. The instructor will always mention you can stay in savasana as long as you’d like, but when the rest of the class is getting up to leave it makes that extra relaxation time nearly impossible. I wish the instructors were more disciplined to start class on time so that each class we could get a full 5 minutes of savasana before going about the rest of our day. The classes also get packed and it makes it difficult to find a spot for your mat. Some instructors are good about asking people to make room but others leave you to fend for yourself. Overall, I really love the studio, the instructors, and the classes offered, but there are a few areas that could be improved!

I have been attending hot yoga classes at CorePower Yoga, and I’ve noticed a troubling pattern. Many of the students seem to have racist tendencies. The classes are often overcrowded, and latecomers frequently struggle to find a spot. I remember vividly my first visit when I couldn’t find a spot, and no one helped me. I eventually found a place on my own.
On multiple occasions, I’ve been asked by several “helpful” students to give up part of my spot for white men. During these incidents, the instructors did not intervene. I distinctly remember two students who never helped me when I had no spot, but were very eager to ask me to move for others, especially if they were white men.
Who am I? I am an Asian woman.

I'm doing the Free Week Trial, and it's been awesome!
I really like it!
Instructors are kind and friendly.
The studio is clean.
Lockers are really useful.
If you are a begginer in yoga like me, this is the place to go. The environment is really friendly.
They have different times for classes, which makes it flexible for busy schedules.

Great place for yoga and a positive attitude about whole life health. Don't show up late, the doors will be locked.

I honestly don’t understand why they play pop, techno and house music in yoga classes. I can maybe understand its place im yoga sculpt but in HPF and c1 and c2?? It takes away from the meditative qualities of yoga practice and it’s hard to be mindful in a class with music like that. I hope they can revisit their song choices

Ok I love this studio and the teachers. But I hate that there are CPY 2 classes today at 4:30/5:45/7:30 and inevitably only one CPY 1 and it’s at quarter till nine tonight. There are always tons of CPY 2 classes and very sparse CPY 1 classes. And the level 1 classes are usually super late at night or incredibly early in the morning. So there’s never like a 5pm level 1 class on the weekdays, Mon-Thu, which are the only days I can practice. It drives me crazy. The level 2 classes are heated and I always end up walking out because I tolerate heat so poorly. Please offer level 1 classes at reasonable times (4-5-6-7pm) on the weekdays instead multiple level 2 classes during all those time slots. Thank you for giving parity to ALL students. Namaste.

Im new to Core Power but had probably the best yoga class I’ve taken ever, Core Power 2 with Laura (Lauren?). Proper guidance, great transition options and pace, good music, sweat temperatures but not stifling. I felt rewarded afterwards. The studio is great and has a lot of bathroom amenities. I brought stuff to shower for work and was easy, clean and had shower items. Provided locker locks were a huge plus.

I loved my first class so much, and will definitely be coming back! The instructor was so warm and friendly and really helpful in keeping us motivated.
