A lady was purchasing medicine ,while she purchased she asked if she wanted to sign up but she kindly said no and then proceeds to ask for her id she went to go grab her id in the car while she’s doing that a guy next in line purchases medicine but she was quick to not ask ID when he agrees to sign up for rewards program . The cashier is unprofessional and picks and chooses who to ID people . I will be calling the manager.

They racially profile Black people at self-checkout for absolutely no reason.

Very friendly staff who are exceptionally helpful and a larger store with an upstairs section for all you need. The sign posting could be a bit better as you have to generalize on what is there.

The two male pharmacists I’ve encountered here are arrogant and provide incorrect information.
One confidently told me and my wife that CVS cannot accept her foreign passport as ID for controlled prescriptions because of DEA regulations and state law. I protested that there were no such laws. After calling the customer support line, I was told this was simply CVS policy because their handheld scanners can only scan a few kinds of ID, but that some pharmacies accept other kinds of ID. So, the pharmacist was wrong about Virginia laws and DEA regulations prohibiting the acceptance of foreign IDs.
Another proposed to check to see whether a voucher had been applied by comparing the price I paid last time (with the voucher) to the price I paid this time. When the price turned out to be different—suggesting the voucher had not been applied this time—he spoke in a patronizing way and told me that I should simply trust him because “I’m a pharmacist.” I protested and after a heated exchange he finally looked at the BIN and Group numbers on my voucher to confirm it had been applied. Why didn’t he just do that in the first place — I had asked if they could do that — instead of telling me to just trust him that the price increase was not being caused by the voucher failing to be applied?

It isn't worth going to this location. Everything (toilet paper, toothpaste, OTC drugs) is locked up, and the store is constantly understaffed, so it often takes 20+ minutes to get what you need off the shelf. It takes less time to travel further and go somewhere else.

IF YOU’RE BLACK STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION.
Me and my friends were racially profiled by the man working the register in the front. We asked for help to get soap that was already locked up and he acted as if he did not want to help us. Once we got the soap he told us to hurry up and pay. I politely told him we are still shopping we will pay once we have found all of our items. After that he told us “Well hurry up and buy” He did not once say that to any white person shopping. I work in courthouse plaza and will not be shopping here anymore or recommending this location to anybody else. He needs to be fired immediately.

The pharmacy is closed early afternoon on a Monday. Cashier said they don't have enough staff to keep it open. Apparently professional pharmacists want to work there as much as I enjoy shopping there.

Was told by one of the pharmacy technicians that she was unable to apply a copay coupon to my order (saving me 100+ dollars) because the pharmacy was closing and there was a line behind me. This was after I arrived with 30+ minutes prior to their closing time, and after waiting for 20+ minutes in line. I pushed back stating that I have everything ready (coupon printed, insurance card, etc) and the pharmacy technician stated that I could have my medication if I payed what was owed but if I wanted to use my coupon code I would have to come back tomorrow because she didn’t have time for me.
I guess the people in front of me and the people behind had much more important medications to pick up.

These pharmacists are rude. Just sat on hold for 20 mins and they picked up the phone, didn’t say a word, and then just hung up. I get your job is stressful but don’t be childish.

This is my closest CVS, but I avoid it if I can. The prices are ridiculously marked up (a normally $10 item was $17 here), and I had a horrible experience with a rude employee in the pharmacy yesterday. Just unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. I just won't shop here anymore and don't recommend it.
