I had an excellent experience at my local CVS. The store is always clean and inviting when I come in.

I couldn't shop because the manager followed me around, and stood behind me as I was shopping.

I have never had a more frustrating experience with a pharmacy team than I have with this CVS location. Unfortunately, this hasn't been a one-time issue — the staff consistently demonstrate poor customer service and a complete lack of consideration for patients.
In one instance, my doctor sent in a prescription five days before I went to pick it up. When I arrived, they told me it wasn’t ready. They asked me to come back in an hour (at 12:30 PM), but when I returned at 1:30, they then told me to come back at 2:15 — knowing full well they would be closed at 1:30. This kind of miscommunication is completely unacceptable. I raised the issue with CVS customer service, and while they apologized and promised to follow up, clearly nothing has changed.
Today, the same thing happened again when I came to pick up my daughter's prescription. I arrived around 1:20 PM and waited patiently in line. When I finally reached the counter, I was told they were closing and to come back at 2:15. I asked the staff member why no one mentioned this while I was waiting in line — she simply smiled and offered no explanation. It felt dismissive and unprofessional.
The attitude of the pharmacy crew has been consistently disrespectful. I’ve never seen them greet customers warmly, and on several occasions, they incorrectly told me that my insurance didn’t cover a prescription — only to later confirm it actually did after I insisted they double-check with my provider.
The only reason I ever used this location was its proximity to my home, but after repeated negative experiences, I will never return. It’s clear that this team lacks the training, empathy, and accountability needed to properly serve customers. CVS needs to seriously evaluate how complaints are handled and whether this location aligns with its standards of care.

I just went to get Zyrtec, I try not to go to CVS but I decided to this time.
The Latino guy was rude, he was the only one working. He did not wanted to open the lock to get Zyrtec. He said to wait in line while other 12 guys were in line. Only thing he needed to do it’s opening the lock and I can do self-checkout. I don not need him to check out for me, this is why there is self checkout to avoid guys like this.
So disappointed, I don’t know how CVS gets costumer service like this. So rude and useless guy.

The pharmacist at this location is utterly useless. I had a prescription transferred to this particular location and she argued that it was OTC, while it was not.
She told me the prescription was not covered by my insurance and I informed her that I will pay for it; yet she still refused to place my order. After I picked up my order, I started getting messages from CVS that my prescription was ready for pickup.
I went to the pharmacy and attempted to pickup my prescription; however, I was told by the useless pharmacist that I didn’t have a prescription and I had to contact CVS through an 800 number.
I contacted CVS Headquarters, and they informed me the prescription was filled and waiting at that location for pickup.
When I explained to them the issue with the pharmacist, CVS HQ sent me a text message that included a barcode for the pharmacy to scan and allow me to pick up.

Pharmacist who wears a hijab and glasses has too big of an ego for her small mind. she cannot admit to fault or give an apology for having me pay for the wrong insulin syringes for my cat. she wants to say the vet never called in the right one but I confirmed with my vet after our interaction that they did. she told me to never come back to this location again, as if she has the authority to ban me. would recommend to skip this one and go to the one farther down Columbia pike to interact with people with more competence who can swallow their pride and do their job correctly and not argue with a customer.

The employees at CVS at 5017 Columbia Pike are consistently exceptionally courteous and helpful with helping me find items, take advantage of great coupon offerings and help fill and arrange prescriptions. This CVS is my go-to store now and has been for about a year and a half. Keep up the good work!!

Boy at the front, claiming to be the manager, is extremely rude and not helpful. Would fight back with customers in line and not assist woman looking for pharmacist during hours.

Terrible service from the pharmacy staff, they call and hang up and when they respond they do so in a despotic manner, they gave me a bad time when I needed to pick up my child's medications, I will never trust this pharmacy again, I had to give them 1 star to be able to publish, I don't even give it a star
