The people who run this place are unbelievable. I went there to order some things for my family who were eating in the food court (this business is located one floor up from there), and took out my phone to take a picture of their menu to send via text to the rest my party. The owners screamed at me, saying "no pictures!" Very disappointing...

Glad this stand still exists. Staff was friendly and helped me out even though they were about to close. Dippin dots is always cool and consistent.

Either you like it or not. There's no other option to it. Either this or Lil Melts.

Dippin dots food truck at the Smithsonian Zoo in DC. Got Raspberry and Lemon Dots and I was slightly overcharged which is fine as it's tourist hotspot. It was righteously light on sugar and calories as advertised. Unfortunately it was also bland and tasteless in the large part. Portions were ok but flavor was meh. Thunderstorm started, right on cue, as if angered by the underwhelming taste and flavor. I got thoroughly drenched and water in my shoes, and I was standing in a large tree outside the Zoo in just a thin t-shirt and just gorging myself on the Dots and trying to get them down as fast as possible. Unfortunately the heavy downpour just had to ruin my day, and then my dessert which was worse. The dots got drenched and interspersed with mucky rainwater. I tried to chow down as much as possible but eventually it became a nasty looking soufflé or some such. I tossed the remainder in a trash bin outside the Zoo which had the least puddles surrounding it. Dipping Dots sucked, but rain made it worse. Hate you Thunderstorm, and I hate my life and also my circumstances for getting drenched. But hey, that's life. Stay tuned for next time, or whatever. See ya.

I tend to enjoy it when I was very young. Glad to eat it again and it is still my style.

It was definitely a shock seeing dippin' dots after not seeing a location in many many years. Though part of me didn't want the sugar, I knew I had to try it again after 15 years or so of not having it. It was cool to see flavors expanded past rainbow ice, banana split, cotton candy, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and cookies & cream. The newest flavors I spotted were cool mint & birthday cake. Unfortunately the owners didn't allow for samples due to COVID which makes sense. Note: regular cups can get you two flavors! I went with banana split and cotton candy: my two favorite flavors growing up. It was just as I remembered it, minus it being so cold it was uncomfortably sticking to my tongue -- that I did not remember. 4/5 for nostalgia and convenience, -1 star for no samples and temperature too cold that it sticks to the tongue. It was also almost $6 for a regular which I thought was pretty high end, but again, understandable since it's novelty.

I love this Dippin Dots! Best location because of the people that run it! I would pick this ice cream over any other ice cream in the mall! Best value, best flavors, and best drink choices.

I love their dipping dots ice cream. It's different from the traditional ones. The texture is amazing, also not too sweet. Most importantly, the owner provides excellent services. Would go back again. If you come to pentagon mall, try their ice cream.

Google maps shows the menue as having dip n dots that cost $59. That's confusing because it's a dip n dot stand that should serve individual servings and this is a bad review of google maps more so than the restaurant if this is being shown incorrectly as expected
