I was visiting Arlington and popped into J.Crew. I love shopping their online store as I don't have one close to home, so I lucked out when I saw it in the directory at the mall. As always, I wanted to buy up the whole store, but didn't. I found the perfect sweater in chocolate brown. Huge plus that it was marked down! I was not helped by staff, but didn't need it either. I did notice that there were a couple of colors in this sweater, but this fall color was more expensive than the others. Quality was just as expected for JCrew. They don't disappoint. Comfy sweater.

I went in need of a specific item, and the sales associates were all extremely helpful. Specifically Bryce, who immediately stepped in and picked out multiple options and searched for the proper sizes for me. Service was fast, kind, and knowledgeable. He really saved me when I was in a pinch!

Why do all JCrew employees think they are above the crowd. Condescending looks and rude customer service.

Disappointing experience at this location -- again. I stopped by right around opening time and was the only customer in the store -- but the staff barely acknowledged me. No greeting, no offer to help, nothing. On top of that, the clothes I looked at were noticeably poor in quality -- thin fabric and just not worth the price point. I’ve was a longtime J.Crew shopper, but this visit was a letdown on every level. Won’t be returning to this location.

Staff is indifferent. I’ve never been greeted or assisted in this store. I intend to buy when I go in, but the lack of customer service deters me.

After a truly painful experience at the Alexandria branch and the Christiana mall branch locations we had a good experience at the Pentagon City branch. LaWanda, Eric, and district manager, Shannon, helped us ensure our wedding was not ruined by the lack of help we received from other Jos A banks locations and relieved a ton of stress that we had just 3 weeks out. Huge kudos to them, and thank you so much for your help and positivity. If you're in a situation where you are stressed and don't know what to do next, ask for LaWanda, she is calm and professional and will get you sorted out!

Some of the worst customer service I have experienced from a department store in a while. I had an appointment for 6pm, but when I arrived, I was met with blank stares. I intended to buy a suit, some shirts, and ties, but when I asked questions, I was simply told they didn't have my size. This is surprising since I am 5’11” and 185 lbs, so there shouldn't be any sizing problems. Although I eventually found a suit, no one helped me locate shirts in my size. I wanted to try on a shirt to check the fit, but I was told it wasn't possible, and the staff member walked away. Despite having an appointment, it felt like pulling teeth to get any service. I wouldn't recommend this location at all. However, the Alexandria branch, just 12 minutes away, provided a vastly better experience. Alice at the other branch was incredibly helpful!

By far this was probably the worst customer service experience that I have encountered. I made an appointment for Sunday 3/10 so that I could get fitted for my wedding suit but upon arrival I was told that they couldn’t find my appointment and that online appointments don’t count..and that was it. The guy behind the counter had a deer in the head lights look like he didn’t know what else to do. I asked about rescheduling, about looking what they had to offer as far as wedding suits go. I showed him pictures of suits I saw on their own website and he said they weren’t available..? I don’t know what the hell was going on at this place but I’d advise people to do their shopping elsewhere.

We were visiting the D.C. area and needed an immediate solution to our clothing shortcoming. Our son was selected to present the wreath at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Mr. Rashad Booker of Jos. A Bank in Arlington, VA committed himself to resolving our dilemma. He found a suitable blazer and tie that were of the proper fit and style for the ceremony. We are grateful for his courtesy and professionalism. This company is in excellent hands with Mr. Booker representing it. Thank you!

Terrible service. The lady was so rude and disrespectful and unwilling to show me shirt options because “it won’t fit me”.

Went here early one day last week when it was raining. I needed a tie for my father's funeral and was afraid of it getting wet walking back to my hotel since they only have paper bags for small items. The morning manager was kind enough to go to the back to find something that would keep the tie from getting wet. Thank you for taking care of me.

Today was my first day visiting Jos A Bank at Fashion Centre - Pentagon City to explore suit options with my fiance for our upcoming wedding and to our surprise we left feeling disappointed and underserved with regards to customer service.
I chose Jos A Bank as the tailor for our wedding because I've had great experiences in the past at other Jos A Bank locations. Excited, we walked into the Pentagon City location around 3pm on Saturday, July 8 with nothing but high expectations. One gentleman gave us a warm greeting and asked how he could help us today. I notified him that we were looking for a medium purple custom suit for our wedding. Another salesman at the register, without looking through the inventory, quickly jumped in to say that this store did not carry purple custom suits or anything of that sort. A little taken aback by the short response, my fiance asked if there were fabric swatches we could look through. The abrupt salesman pointed us over to the custom section and remained at the register despite the store being empty. We looked through the fabric swatches with no assistance until the abrupt salesman walked over with a handful of new swatches from the register and stumbled upon a new purple fabric. He then notified us that the new purple swatch was limited edition and we would have to order the suit soon with no option to tailor the shoulders in the future. For some reason, he then recommended K & G as our best option and told us that he was not trying to push us out of this store. Trying to understand his K & G recommendation, we informed him we were unfamiliar with K & G and asked if they offered custom suits. He answered yes and explained K & G, Men's Wearhouse, and Jos A Bank were all under the same umbrella.
From the beginning of our conversation with the abrupt salesman we definitely did feel like he was trying to recommend we leave and he even confirmed our thoughts by verbalizing that it was not his intention to push us out of this store. We felt very unwelcomed and decided it was best for us to leave despite us being in the store for less than 10 min. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service we received by the abrupt salesman. With this type of customer service, how can I with good conscience use this store for my wedding or recommend this store to others? Prior to my visit, I selected Jos A Bank for my wedding tailor because of my previous positive experiences at other locations and found it disheartening for the abrupt salesman to recommend me elsewhere. We hope that others have not been turned away so quickly after having selected Jos A Bank for their special occasion.
