Just terrible. I took off from work for this appointment only to get there on time. Once I'm there I'm waiting for staff to open the gate. For the lady to inform that there is another door for exams. How would someone know that?! Needless to say I was told unfortunately they couldn't see me because i was late. I explained I've been standing at the front door for almost 20 mins. Ridiculous, I received a call the day before to tell me to fill out the required forms. What about mentioning that your exam office is next door. Well walked my self right to vision works and received awesome service. So lens crafter or steer optic whatever your name is thanks for nothing.

The woman I dealt with Teresa provided me with the best possible customer service and helped me get everything I needed squared away. Overall an excellent experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone needing to get new glasses.

So much kudos to Shawn ( sorry friend if my spelling of your name is not correct). He is amazing! going above and beyond helping me with my troubled prescription, always friendly and willing to listen and understanding. So pleased of getting my glasses with them every time!

I just stopped into the LensCrafters in pentagon city mall and Boris was very helpful and professional. Repaired my glasses that I purchased there a few years ago. Excellent customer service. Thank you Boris & LensCrafters!

I had such a great experience thanks to Jill who helped me pick out my new glasses. From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. She was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand what I was looking for.
She offered helpful suggestions without being pushy, and her eye for style helped me find a pair that I absolutely love and feel confident in. On top of that, her warm and friendly attitude made the whole process enjoyable — it honestly felt like chatting with a friend who just happens to be great at picking glasses!
Exceptional service and genuine hospitality — I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend!
P.s - Thanks to everyone who helped with my glasses. I really appreciate you. You guys made my birthday 😊

This past Saturday, Aug 30, 2025, I had a very disappointing experience at LensCrafters in Pentagon City Mall. The woman who assisted me—an older lady with brown hair and glasses—was extremely loud, pushy, and more focused on upselling than actually helping. Instead of honoring the advertised discounts on lenses and frames, she kept trying to tack on additional charges, which felt misleading and frustrating. I have read disappointing things about this particular location doing this and now I have seen it with my own EYES! Very frustrating!
The constant pressure and lack of transparency made me so uncomfortable that I walked out without making a purchase. Because of this experience, I will never return to this location.

Just had a very unfortunate and frustrating experience here with Dr. Steer’s staff. I had an appointment at 1:40pm. I had trouble parking, and finding the location once inside the mall. I was literally SPRINTING trying to get there. I had tried to call around 1:45 to tell them I was having trouble finding the location, but wasn’t able to get through. I finally get there, and the very nice men behind the lenscrafter desk show me the doctor office next door. As we’re walking up, there is a woman locking the door in my face. She said “sorry, we’re going on lunch” me and the lenscrafter guy say I have an appointment at 1:40pm. She says “sorry you’re past the 10 minute grace period for your appointment” I say are you serious and I pull out my phone and show her time - it literally switches from 1:49-1:50pm as I turn my screen around. I was like “no I’m not I’m still in the grace period” she proceeds to say “sorry. We’re on lunch. I can talk to the doctor and see if she can see you after.” Now, I’m on a break from my job, I rushed over to get my eyes checked after building up the courage to finally make an appointment after about a year of my vision noticeably declining. And I was met with 0 understanding and wasn’t even able to be heard out even though I was still in the 10 minute grace period. I was also visibly sweaty and out of breathe from all the running I did trying to find the place, and to met with that coldness was extremely disappointing and off putting. I told her no thanks, and walked away. If this is how they are treating people before you even get into the office, I don’t want to be seen by them inside. So, I said no thanks and walked away. I wouldn’t go here if I were you.

Giovani kindly adjusted my mom’s glasses frame for free, even though the glasses weren’t purchased from his shop. He was very nice, friendly, and helpful.
