My only reason for this score is that their are only 2 bathrooms in this whole store and it was disgustingly dirty.. Not really good service on this side of the business.

I'm truly a fan of Nordstroms. During COVID, our local store closed. But I'm still able to shop online and when I travel stop by to shop in store.

Nordstrom Cafe. The service and staff are consistently excellent. However, my recent experience with the food was disappointing. While it still tasted good, the portions have gotten noticeably smaller, the quality seems lower, and the prices are much higher compared to past visits. I also missed the warm bread and butter and the delicious chocolate mints that used to be offered. The cleanliness, as always, was great.

This review is specifically for the great customer service that I experienced at the fragrance counter at Nordstrom Pentagon City with Advisor, Garrett Royal-Thompson. I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Fragrance Advisor, Garrett Royal-Thompson. I had the most special experience with Mr. Garrett on Monday, July 14, 2025. He is excellent at what he does, so pleasant and very informative. I explained to him that it was the day before my birthday and in years past, my mom and I shopped at the Anniversary sale together, My mom’s birthday is the 18th. I came into the store alone this year but was thinking of my mom the entire time. I lost my mom September 2023 & it has been extremely difficult for me. Mr. Garrett and I talked about her & he could relate as he had lost his mom as well. He has such a kind heart and made my experience the best that it could be without my mom.
After he explained various scents, layering combos and let me sample many fragrances I settled on the PDM Valaya Anniversary sale set. Valaya has been on my wish list and now was the perfect time to get her. Another added plus was an engraver was there who could engrave the bottles I purchased. It was as if my mom sent me to the fragrance counter to meet with Mr. Garrett on that day.
As I waited for the engraving, Mr. Garrett had a drink prepared at the Nordstrom Cafe with the sweetest message… “Happy Early Birthday…we are sorry for your loss…We Love you…” That hit me so hard. It warmed my heart! It was such a beautiful gesture to help me through this difficult time. The attention to detail and the way Mr. Garrett treated me was Outstanding. He wanted to make sure that I could still smile & enjoy my special day. Mr. Garrett saw to it that I had the Best shopping experience.
Going “Above and Beyond” is an understatement for what Mr. Garrett did for me that day. I will never forget how well I was treated and taken care of in the most special way. Mr. Garrett should be commended on a JOB EXTREMELY WELL DONE!!! I can’t thank him enough! It was truly a pleasure working with him and his team because they were right there beside him to make sure I was COMPLETELY taken care of. I highly recommend anyone to go and see Mr. Garrett if you are looking for a new fragrance and would like the best shopping experience. I will definitely be back to shop as well.
Fragrance brings me a sense of peace and calm and Mr. Garrett definitely brought peace and calm to my spirit that day. I am forever grateful for his service.
Thank you a million times Mr. Garrett. You are the definition of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and understanding! Shannon helped me find the right products and fits, taught me how to care for them so they last, and gave me pointers on future shopping adventures! Everything was very clean and organized, and there was a little ac unit in the dressing room.

This store has really fallen off. They don’t carry much inventory and half of the sales associates prefer to spend their time talking amongst themselves rather than helping customers finding sizes.
Furthermore, this store does their own emails and any function to unsubscribe to this store’s poorly formatted emails did not work and had to unsubscribe to all Nordstrom emails as a result.

Selam in fragrance gave me the experience of a lifetime today! Had a hectic drive up from the Richmond area and called in advance to ensure the fragrance I wanted was available. Selam assisted me over the phone and upon arrival she made me feel at ease and welcomed in every way. She made me feel great about my purchase and added extra samples to show she cared and wanted me to see all that they had to offer. ❤️ Thank you for the 5 star service Selam! You were so very kind and made the 7 hour car drive worth it for sure!💯

Only reasons for rhe one star is the price for parking and the lack of happiness of the customers. Must be the DC attitude of RBF. I would be like that too if I had to work in this environment. HOWEVER! The workers were amazing and helpful. Plus, the mall is super cute and clean.

HORRIBLE… I don’t need to explain we all have shopped here, but today was my last time. The customer service sucked and no one takes accountability for there actions. I came ready to spend and left empty handed and disappointed.

Dina is a gem. ? I’m a busy single parent and I needed a nice suit fast. She went out of her way to help me get a lot of options together and even brought me down to get a pair of shoes after the store had closed, so that I could be put together for an important event the next day. I honestly am moved by how well I was cared for. If you ever need a good suit, ask for Dina. ✨ She will get you together. There’s a great selection, as well.
