My home studio is elsewhere but I showed up at this studio for the first time and had a hard time finding the parking garage. Arrived 6 minutes after class started and was told I can’t attend class. Went in apologetic and explained the situation and was refused. For my first time experience it was extremely negative. Would suggest going to other studios in the area with a more empathetic staff.

OTF Columbia Pike is fantastic! I've been a member of OTF for 7-8 years. I discovered the Pike studio in the coming out of Covid period. The desk staff are always welcoming and friendly, the coaches are knowledgeable, well versed in proper form and seem to enjoy being there. The studio always feels clean and well ventilated. The hour goes by ever so quickly and you walk out feeling like you had a shower when instead you need one. With convenient and easy parking downstairs in the Harris Teeter parking garage, you can do your grocery shopping after class, with you Starbucks in hand. ~ KT

OTF Columbia Pike is the BEST OTF! I'm a founding member and this location is fantastic. Great coaches, great community, and easy (free) parking. The workouts are hard, the coaches are motivating, the members are friendly and welcoming. This is THE OTF you want to join!

OTF Columbia Pike is great! Coach April knows how to motivate members and keeps us coming back. 5 am class is the best way to start the day.

Worst OT I’ve tried!! The font desk was incompetent. I have an autonomic dysfunction, so seeing my heart rate and starting in the correct sequence is important. I have a new heart rate monitor, but they told me that the screen doesn’t show me because mine is old technology (but it’s brand new from OT). Plus they told me it was a 2G when it was a 3G run with two groups. I got so sick because I could not see my HR and should not do cardio back to back, which I explained at the from desk. I had to leave without finishing the workout. For most it is okay to not know, but for those of us that are sick and still trying to be mobile, it is very important to know your workouts and technology. To add to it, they put two of us on the same machine for the same sequence (and the class was not full)!

I always tried to avoid the lead trainer April's classes because she can be aggressive and rude to the clients (in my opinion) but today she was a substitute for my preferred trainer Wendy (schedule was not updated). She asked us to report orthopedic issues before starting and I tried to tell her about a leg problem. She interrupted me and started asking if I have worn headphones in the studio. I have before and I know it is against policy for a liability legal reason but I was nicely allowed to skirt that rule for 2.5 years in the pentagon city location. She specifically requested before the workout that we leave our phone/headphones outside so I put my phone and headphones away, but she still needed to confront me about my past indiscretions (having 1 earbud in for 3 classes)... Honestly, if she had even acknowledged that I was asking her about my leg injury, I would not be writing this review. I can go to any major gym and do running, rowing and weights... Why make it uncomfortable for people?

I've called twice and came in to cancel, and they still charge me every month. Their strategy with your payment is a bit shady, refusing to give you costs until you do a free trial. The service is ok: it's mostly pep talking through cardio and light weight workouts, but the health tracking stuff is cool. $119 a month for 3 days a week is a bit steep just for that, though. If you do manage to cancel, it's their policy to still charge you for another 30 days. They make it as difficult as possible to cancel by having you fill out a form that only a supervisor is qualified to send you. The cost and shenanigans isn't worth it; just go to a normal gym.Update: They agreed to waive the next membership fee as a courtesy and cancel once I emailed them. I am willing to believe losing my form was an honest mistake as everyone I've worked with has been very courteous and they went through staff changes, but OTF corporate's policies are designed to squeeze every dollar out of you like an old tube of toothpaste.
