Our main store for 36 years. I actually like the smaller size. Very easy to find everything & have relationships with staff. Easy parking. Love having it in the neighborhood, and I need to go to a bigger store only occasionally.

I definitely love the fact that this pharmacy is open late both Saturday and Sunday. I needed to pick-up an urgent prescription before I travel out of the country tomorrow. Unfortunately to e pharmacy that I usually go to that is actually located within a drug store was not open today. I've always considered this grocery store overall has better quality than other stores in the area, and today I discovered that even the pharmacy is at the top of their game. My prescription was called in by the doctor's office and when I came into the pharmacy, I only needed to provide them with my name and phone number, and the medication was already prepared. I'm glad that they were open and here for me today!

Worst Safeway Pharmacy I’ve been to. Scheduled a Covid booster and arrived on time. Waited almost 30 mins after check in. The pharmacist was super slow and disrespectful of people’s time.

This pharmacy was excellent to deal with. I visited for the first time this week, when I couldn't get health insurance to cover a prescription. I ended up paying out of pocket but using a GoodRx coupon. The pharmacist was kind and competent and helped me apply the coupon and transfer the prescription from my usual store.

So a friend who is as COVID phobic as me suggested I start shopping at this Safeway. It's never very packed with people, and you can get in and out very quickly. Now we know that indoors poses the most risk. So I've been shopping here for a few weeks, and I do get in and out very quickly. The store has some disinfecting essentials like wipes every time I go in there. Every so often there's some disinfecting spray as well. The store may not be as popular as other groceries but that's fine by me. It is small and it is old. But I'm going in there to get essentials and it doesn't have to be new and it doesn't have to be big. And if it's not crowded even better. I will keep shopping here during the epidemic. When it's over I will probably go back to stores in my neighborhood that are bigger and better supplied. However they do have Fresca almost all the time here...why is that missing from shelves. I'm nevermind. So if you want to go to a grocery store with lots of parking, get in and out, get your daily essentials go here!

This Safeway ties with the Chevy Chase location for the "worst grocery store" award. It's dated and not in a retro-cool way. Lines are long and slow, space is limited, and everything feels subpar. Unless you must shop here, there are better grocers around.

This store is mediocre--and that's why you want to shop here during the pandemic. The outside looks like it's 1982. The giant parking lot is an anomaly on the edges of bustling Ballston, a throwback to the days when this neighborhood housed WMATA's overnight bus depot. There is no self checkout. I'm almost amazed the registers are electronic and not manual. Many of the less popular items sit on the shelves for months, and on more than one occasion I've bought things that were expired. I've brought home apples and oranges with a spoiled one hiding in the bag. Okay, you still with me? This store isn't glitzy but it's hiding gems, maybe because it's so unpopular. It was one of the first places to restock toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and masks. They have a surprisingly robust natural foods section, baby toys, frozen turkey breasts even when it's not thanksgiving, and other random items that may be just what you're looking for. The shelves have been consistently stocked during the pandemic. And the aisles tend to be empty, especially if you avoid lunch time or right after work. Let's keep this our secret. When you're not using the parking lot as overflow from Pupatella, consider coming into this Safeway.

Smaller and seemingly ancient Safeway that made me expect a "George Washington shopped here" sign out front. It's smaller than most stores so it's cramped and but the staff seemed friendly and there's plenty of parking.I'm not a Safeway fan in general but it's tolerable if you're in the area and are in desparate need of something. I stopped here to get a bottle of water while I was on a walk and it's not too far from the Bluemont/W&OD Trails.

The store is fantastic. In the midst of the coronavirus crisis, this store is well stocked, and the staff is fantastic. Thank you.

This is a great place to shop for food when you don't have a lot of money to spend. I really love this store
