This Safeway is definitely one of the older locations and hasn’t been updated in a while, but it still gets the job done. They have all the essential departments—floral, produce, dairy, meat, seafood, packaged goods, frozen items, and more. The layout and department sizes are a bit smaller compared to the newer stores, but everything you need is there. One nice feature is their self-checkout area, which is convenient and well-maintained. If you prefer a cashier, that’s still an option too. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable grocery store.

This Safeway has thee most customer service friendly staff I have ever encountered . Everyone is so helpful and always smiling. Great wine selection!

They have made such nice improvements to this Safeway in the last few years, including self check-out and giving it a general facelift. I really like this grocery store even though it's on the smaller side. The produce, in particular, has a better selection than a lot of other places nearby!

I used to shop here regularly. Prices on the shelf often times don't match the price at the cash register, and it always seemed to be the case that I was being overcharged. Also, the prices are much higher than other stores nearby. The staff members are very friendly though.

despite having shopped here with my small electric scooter many times before (including other Safeways, Harris Teeters, Giants, Aldis, Lidls, etc.), i was told by this particular Safeway manager (1/30/24 @ 2:40pm) that i could not bring it inside the store, even though it is smaller than a grocery cart

Truly the most disorganized pharmacy with zero customer service skills, especially the male pharmacist, who did not react at all when I passed out in front of his window retrieving a prescription ten days after having COVID. They’ve lost my dog’s prescriptions multiple times. Don’t try to transfer a prescription out of here because they won’t do it properly, the new pharmacy will try to call them for it and then they’ll say they have no record of it. They had the best prices in the area for my dog’s medications, but I’d rather pay twice as much for competency and empathy.

Pretty dumpy, but it gets the job done.UPDATE: I am on the Safeway website to leave a comment, but an account required to leave a comment, and here's the reality: Safeway clearly doesn't care how it runs it's neighborhood grocery stores, or it would benchmark vs Giant and Harris Teeter...and even some Food Lions in Virginia. I go to this location because it's convenient, but there's always discolored meat, freezer-burnt ice cream, and the front area is very cluttered. I'd say that a remodel would help, but not significantly if you look at the more upgraded stores on Harrison St and at Williston Centre/Plaza where there are sticky floors and stuffy to stale air... think dollar store ambiance.

Great location and always fully stocked, this is all before heading to Checkout where the cashiers here are B.S.C. There's one cashier that after she scans all of your items she'll snatch the credit card kiosk and fill out the survey on her self . Weird!!
