Worst bank experience our group of companies we have ever had. Deceptive Banking Practices. Closed our accounts there just yesterday. Don't bank here. You will have your money stolen from you. FTC here we come. We told the branch manager we filed complaints with the BBB etc. He chuckled. We call him the chuckling manager.

If I could give this location 0 stars I absolutely would. I originally called to inquire on the balances of business accounts that I do not use often, I was on hold for over 15 minutes so decided to visit the location (while still on hold). I walk in and see three employees huddled around one teller station talking about what appeared to be a non business related topic. I speak with someone by the name of Sandy, explain to her I’m also on hold & she explains they do not answer the phone if customers are present. At the time no customers were in the branch but I decided not to broach this topic with her. I provide Sandy with two of my checkbooks as well as government issued identification, I ask her to provide me with the balances of my accounts. Sandy indicates my married name is reflected on the account while my identification reflects my maiden name. I explain to Sandy I still use both names and that a business banker had me execute documents a few weeks back for this very reason. Sandy was extremely aggressive and originally would not call any of Sandy Spring Banks other employees (that I have a working relationship with) to verify what I was indicating was true. Sandy indicated even if one of the other bankers indicated I was a member she would not assist me as she was the one completing the transaction and I’m assuming it was outside of her comfort level . Mind you I’m not asking to withdrawal any money but am instead asking for verification of account balances. Sandy consistently cut me off and raised her voice. When a member of management came over he basically condoned her behavior and indicated I should want my information to be protected. I literally listed the name of my mortgage broker, loan amount, name of my business banker, and etc in an attempt to get my balances and leave as I was late to a meeting. This manager then asked me if I had come into his branch two years prior with a similar scenario/request??? I calmly explained to him I was not a member of Sandy Spring Bank at the time in which he mentioned, after he asked a few more questions related to whatever incident he was referring to he indicated “maybe I have the people/faces mixed up”. Newsflash- not all women of color look the same. Finally the manager indicated to Sandy that she could call the co owner of my accounts to verify my identity . My personal accounts are with Navy Federal however I’ve grown to enjoy my working relationship with Sandy Spring Bank ( I typically go to the branch near home in Md) on my business accounts, but this was just a vile experience. I’m going to make an effort to never visit this branch again. I don’t think the employees at this branch are good representations of Sandy Spring Bank and the customer service I’ve grown to love at the other branches.

Terrible branch and rude service. Also they are still operating by appointment only for some reason while every other branch and business is open. This branch needs new management.

Very poor service. The bank employees are very rude and not helpful. ATM gives error message. Very hard to deal with.

Very poor service. The Atm machine does not work. I tired to take out 20$ today and it did not give me anything after charging my account for the $20. This Bank is terrible.

Terrible bank. The ATM malfunctioned for me 3 times. First time - no money came out. Second time - I withdrew $100 - and I got 5 x $10 bills - third time - the ATM took money out of my account but gave me nothing. I filed a complaint and after 30 days I was returned the money. The staff is not helpful - and very rude.

The service sucks. They are not reliable. Never use Sandy springs bank. I closed my account and went to another bank. Staff is not helpful at all.

I’ve received great service everytime I’ve gone to this branch! The lady that helps me is Senayda and she always has a smile on her face Sandy Spring is lucky to have her !!
