I was not acknowledged nor spoken to by the retail staff while shopping this evening. But the cute dude who walked in 5 minutes later sure got their attention. Upon making my purchase, the one statement that was said to me was “you must return or exchange within 14 business days” — glad she so graciously informed me of said policy, because upon further inspection, my duster coat is disgustingly dirty. :( ??SMH.

South Moon Under in Arlington, VA located in the heart of Clarendon, is a local gem for men’s fashion. Their selections are based on shades of blue, gray, and other neutral colors. Designer brands are featured based on seasonal demand. Currently, Faherty styles are available at this Arlington location. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and informative. The vibe is laid back and beachy! This is an awesome store!

Where is customer service these days, no wonder why customers turn to Amazon. The holiday Christmas return policy sucks. My husband and daughter bought something from there for Xmas. I already had the bracket from my daughter and the sweater I got was itchy so went to return it as soon as I could but only can up to 6th of January not even store credit for items not touched. They lost a customer and hope no one else buys for holidays there again as well until they change the policy.

I purchased a number of items while out of town in the mosaic distric, VA. 2 of the items had defects, so I called the store manager to aak for a return label. She refused and said I would have to ship them at my own expense. I am sending back all 5 items I purchased. Lousy management, customer service, and they don't stand behind what they sell. I shop A LOT, but would never buy from this store. Too many other good places to shop!

Super cute clothing and jewelry but abit on the expensive side so be prepared. The staff that I met were nice and attentive when I had to use the dressing room

I went in recently to return some things I ordered in the wrong size online. I always dread returning clothing but Gabby made the process effortless. Afterwards they helped me to find some great pieces that fit perfectly! Great clothing and even better service!

South moon under is my favorite store in all of Arlington. I go in weekly to buy numerous cute outfits for the multiple life occasions I have, and every time I am greeted by all the amazing staff they have, especially from Gabby, Dana and Kitty. I am so happy this store exists so close to where I live and I would recommend it to everyone!

My pre-teen purchased a shirt on her own and had an extremely bad experience start to finish.SMU was given numerous opportunities to change the outcome but they refused and have lost customers for life.1st - my daughter wanted to pay with (gasp!) cash, and they nearly refused to sell her the item. She ended up insisting that they keep the change, and was able to buy the tank top.2nd - the shirt was defective and had a hole in it which she found upon arriving home and SMU refused to refund OR EXCHANGE or assist in any way because she did not keep her receipt.3rd - they implied she could be lying even though we went back to the store to explain the situation. Lesson learned - shop elsewhere.

I love this store!! They have so many cute clothes and a entire back area of clothes on sale. A little tricky to find parking at times.

Daina is the nicest and most helpful manager I've ever met at a South Moon Under and retail store in general. She helped me with sizing in-store and found the correct sizes for me online. They're super lucky to have her; she absolutely made my also. Also, her manager was lovely and super kind!

by far my favorite place to shop! price tags are a little heavy, but in my opinion it's well worth it! service is always great and they ALWAYS have a good selection.

I had a unique item return situation and the store manger Gabrielle was super helpful and understanding of my issue. Most stores don't care about the satisfaction of their customer and it's all about the money but SMU Clarendon does and it shows!!

Although the clothes are overpriced, the worst part of this store is the staff. They don't greet you, are of no help, and judgmentally stare at you. When their friends are in the store, all they do is loudly speak with them, with no regard for customers. I purposely don't give this store my business due to their repeated terrible customer service and lack of regard for customers.

Just had one of the most off-putting experiences ever in this store and had to share it. I hope someone from the management team reads this and shares this feedback with the Clarendon team... I just left your store. I was in there from about 2:30-2:40 on Friday August 16th (to help you figure out what staff was there)... Just popping in on my lunch break. I was greeted literally the second I entered the store... A little eager but I don't mind, while it's a tad annoying, it is good customer service, technically. I go to the jewelry section first, like always. I'm not there for 15 seconds before someone comes up to try and sell me a necklace in the most uncomfortable way. First of all, I had headphones in. FOR A REASON. I don't want to be bothered! I'm on my break, I'm having a rough day, I just want to look at pretty things and spend some money. So the girl, without saying a word, grabs a necklace from the opposite side of the counter to show to me. She just has it in her hand and just puts it in front of my face. It was awkward as heck but I just said "Oh, it's not my style but thank you." She puts it down and huffs away. That doesn't bother me so much. I actually worked at SMU a long time ago and I know the sales culture is pretty aggro and maybe she's new and the manager sent her over as a challenge to sell to me? Which also shouldn't be a thing... but moving on! I couldn't walk through a single section of the store without a staff member trying to talk to me. Every 3 seconds, I'm being bothered. It was so excessive, I didn't even have time to actually look at the clothes. I see 1 kimono swim cover-up that I like so I take it down. The SECOND I did, someone comes to ask me if I want a fitting room.... For ONE item... That's a kimono! I knew this would happen because I saw her lurking by the fitting rooms just waiting for me to pick something up. I told her "No, I don't think so. I'm just on my lunch break." She also huffs away. I know your staff is full of snobs (Seriously, you're notorious for it) so the huffing doesn't bother me so much. So what did really bother me? The staff creeping around me and making it extremely obvious they thought I was trying to steal something. I worked there. I know the protocol. Why they would think this? Idk. I did come in with a tote bag and was wearing dark lipstick. How dare I! Maybe it's because they got nervous when they couldn't see me behind fixtures? Honestly, I'm just trying to stay out of your line of sight, ladies. LEAVE ME ALONE! The staff constantly followed me around the store fake recovering and watching me like a hawk. It was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I can recall. I mean, they literally FOLLOWED me around. I shopped politely, I didn't make a mess and I was nice to the staff so I honestly don't know what their problem was. SMU staff is rude, that's a given, but maybe they need lessons in tact and discretion, AS WELL AS manners. Another note for upper management: I went in to your store at 2:30 on a Friday. You had at least 5 people working. That's way too much. Maybe the ladies were bored and that's what happened. You certainly don't need that many staff for that block of the day. The store was pristine and there was no one in there except me and 1 other customer which is probably why they were so aggro about the selling as well. Just like many other companies, I'm done going in to SMU's brick & mortar stores. I'll visit the website if I feel the need to shop there and deal with the returns. I'd rather do that than deal with those ladies ever again.

Very bad clothing quality, particularly for the price. I'm about to go back to the store for the third time in a month to make a return. The hem fell out of the first shirt (I noticed it when I returned home). I exchanged it and the second shirt became a midriff shirt after washing it the first time and following the washing instructions. The same thing happened to a third shirt of a different brand. For $75 a shirt, this is utterly ridiculous. The store is lovely and the staff helpful, but they are putting big markups on poor quality clothing and I won't be purchasing anything else there again.
