I was able to submit my passport renewal without an appointment. On a Saturday to boot! The Mail clero was very professional and cordial. Kudos to him!

This post office can be very frustrating and unreliable. I went out of my way to ship a prepaid, QR code-labeled package using the self-service kiosk, but the machine wasn’t working. On top of that, the post office has inconsistent hours. Although it’s supposed to close at 5 p.m., it often closes much earlier—or isn’t open at all on random weekdays that aren’t holidays. I’ve had decent experiences here in the past, but it feels like this location has gone downhill.

Went on a Tuesday around 1pm. This location is quite convenient because it has a good size parking lot, unlike a lot of USPS locations in Arlington. There was a short line for the passport station and no line for the mail counters. There was only one staff member working at the mail counter and they were very friendly. I had a prepaid shipping label and I was in and out very quickly, which was quite nice especially considering how short staffed Arlington USPS is. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews.

If there’s a minus in stars I would have put that :) worst experience ever, the lady was rude, no human communication skills and she kept giving me attitude when I literally did nothing :)?? Have a human decency and try to communicate more instead of giving people attitude and assuming they know everything, some people don’t and it’s fine! At least you have another worker who knows that :)

Always long wait since there’s most of the times only one representative getting overworked. It also looks like is not taking care of the common areas

Friendly staff but would not bother going here for a walk-in passport application unless you arrive super early and are the first person in line. First, the entire post office did not actually open until 9:10 AM (walk-in hours are 9-10 AM). By the time I arrived at 9 AM there was already a huge line.
By the time they actually open, there is only one passport agent to get through everybody. About 30 minutes in, a supervisor or manager yells that they will not see anyone after 10 AM when appointments start - I am not understanding how they can open late but still want to be on time for appointments. There is zero accountability here. The agent spent nearly the remaining 50 minutes on one family when it should've taken max 20 min for them.
They will tell you to go to the Merrifield Post Office where they supposedly do walk in all day long.
This was an incredibly frustrating experience but thankfully I managed to get it done at a much better post office elsewhere.

I am kind of surprised at how little these people care about their work. I mean, I guess I am naive because everyone knows people who work for the post office are all basically dead inside, but you really can’t find a reason to take any pride in what you do at all? The environment there must be really terrible place to work for the employees to be this bad. They’re straight up losers. Most people would quit, but most people respect themselves too much to do their jobs so poorly a s the staff at this post office. They are pitiful.

I went there to file a complaint and was told to do it online with the Inspector General; it has been three weeks, I have not heard a thing. The post office needs to be privatized.

Everyone was kind and helpful. The passport process was mostly efficient. Their camera wasn't working so I was sent over to CVS on Columbia Pike to get a photo. Honestly ended up being a better option! Post office was around $50 to take the photo vs. CVS around $15. Highly recommend getting photo taken ahead of time anyway.

There is one person working at the counter, and you will hear people laughing out loud at the back of the Post Office. The queue is getting longer and longer. This Post Office is under poor management, and there is no supervisor on-site to oversee the business.

I had a package that was accidentally misdelivered. After visiting this office, the staff was super helpful in helping to fix the problem and resolved it within 2 days. While not ideal the package went to the wrong address to begin with, they were very communicative, friendly, and quick to solve the issue.

Absolutely insane that the USPS would staff people who are one, rude, and second, barely know how to read. Beyond infuriating and mind blowing to have to be insulted by someone who is 2 IQ points away from being a certified window licking mouth breather.
