Terrible experience with the manager at this Zara. He was unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I came in to return an item with my receipt, but because the tag didn’t have a barcode(which is how i bought the item), he refused to accept it . I explained that I live two hours away, and drove just to make a return but he kept interrupting me, repeating the same thing over and over, and wouldn’t even try to help. His attitude was disgusting and completely unprofessional. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.

I visited this Zara location on October 24, 2025, and had an extremely disappointing experience. I picked up a pair of jeans clearly marked at €39, but when I checked out, they rang up at $89. I didn’t notice the price difference until after leaving the store, so I went back to speak with the cashier. She told me the tag reflected the European price, and I explained that even with conversion, €39 should only be around $45, not $89.
She called over a manager, who approached without greeting or any professionalism. From the start, her attitude was rude and dismissive. She said, “I understand this was our mistake, but I will not honor that price.” When I asked for clarification, she repeated herself in a sarcastic tone, saying, “That’s what I said the first time.” She also said, “That’s how the clothes come in on the truck,” which came across as an excuse rather than a solution.
Her body language was just as unprofessional—she rolled her eyes, sighed, and crossed her arms while I was speaking. I left the store feeling completely disrespected. The manager (a short blonde woman) made no effort to resolve the issue or provide decent customer service.
I’ve been a loyal Zara customer for years, but this experience at the Arlington, VA (Pentagon City Mall) location was completely unacceptable. I hope corporate takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should be treated this way.
Hopefully, the manager receives some much-needed corrective training, because it’s very clear she lacks the basic customer service skills required for the position she holds. With the attitude she displayed, it’s hard to understand how she’s representing a global brand like Zara.

i asked for my jeans size and indian-ish looking lady said “oh the big size?” someone who body shames should not be employed at a clothing store. she did this “🫱🏽 🫲🏼” with her handing showing how big

Very bad service. I asked the staff for help in finding the right size. They said they would bring it from the stock but then disappeared. I ended up spending 50 minutes looking for anyone to help me.

I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of this product and ZARA’s customer service. The item I purchased was already damaged before I even had the chance to wear it — the stitching was sloppy, uneven, and coming apart straight out of the bag. When I brought it back, ZARA refused to accept the return or take responsibility.
For a brand that claims to set fashion standards, this is unacceptable. Selling defective items and then refusing to stand behind them shows a complete lack of accountability. I will not be shopping at ZARA again and strongly caution others to reconsider before purchasing.
This was my first time purchasing something at the store. I will never shop here again. Pentagon City Mall. Would give zero stars if possible.

Wen’t to the store and was pleasantly surprised that this was an end of year sale. My issue is not with my shopping experience. My issue is with the attendant at the door. I purchased my items and then realized I didn’t look at the jeans, so on my way out I took a pit stop to the jeans. Once done I proceeded to leave the store and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the attendant make the door alarm go off by using his keyboard as I left the store. Of course, I automatically stop and asked him if I needed to go back to the counter as I walked back in the store. He said no and I walked through the door again and of course my bag did not go off. I am not sure what the attendant made the alarm go off on me in particular but this is not the way to do business. This was around 9pm on 7/9.

I purchased a perfume for my husband, once i arrived to North Carolina which it is where i live, he opened it and realized the spray nuzzle doesn't work. they told me i have to travel back to Washington DC to exchange it. WHY cant i send it and get a refund or store credit or a new one back?

I bought three pairs of earrings at Zara yesterday. Because of the restricted packaging, it's difficult for customers to get a true sense of how the earrings will look when worn. At checkout, I specifically asked about the return policy and was assured there would be no problem.
I decided to keep one pair and return the other two. The earrings were unworn, but after trying them at home, it was clear they were poorly designed and didn’t hang well.
A manager (male, long hair) accepted one pair but refused the other, saying I had been “misinformed.” His tone was dismissive and unprofessional throughout. For a $30 return, the inconsistent policy and his condescending attitude made this feel like an exercise in petty authority.
Zara Pentagon City lost a customer and earned this review instead. Respectful service and consistent policies are the bare minimum—I expected better.
