TLDR: Overpriced, lazy, corporate business. Diagnostic costs are well above average and DO NOT GO TOWARDS REPAIRS! Decent option for tires and the standard oil-change and inspection fare, but otherwise steer clear and find yourself a more discerning, earnest, and affordable shop to give your business to.•Local and loyal customer of 20 years here who has been going to this garage for repairs since back when it was still a Goodyear. Price point for rather run-of-the-mill services has been increasing year-on-year and I’m throwing in the towel with them after this last visit, mostly because the policy of not applying diagnostic fees towards eventual repairs is absolutely ridiculous in this day an age when computers do most of the diagnosing.I went in because my newly acquired used car’s check engine light was on and all I needed was a simple diagnostic + quick assessment of the car as it is creeping up on its 75k scheduled maintenance. Check engine deals are really simple to start to diagnose because the car’s computer does most of the work and the mechanics just need to plug in the code reader - code readers which anyone can get from AutoZone or Amazon for $20-60 - to get the gist of the issue. Not only did the shop charge me $160 for this but that $ DOES NOT GO TOWARDS REPAIRS!Moreover, while the code readers/computers certainly do most of the diagnostic work, it’s no excuse for mechanics to simply take the codes on worst case scenario off the jump. In my case the shop informed me that the code indicated a purge valve issue which is related to the overall fuel retention + delivery system, they offered to address this by replacing the valve for an additional $160 labor + $145 parts. Turns out this is a pretty common issue that arises from faulty/bad gas caps which one can replace for about $10-25 and sure enough my car’s gas cap has not been clicking when I close it.This shop was ready to charge me $500 for a simple $10 fix. As it is they got me for the $160 for diagnosis which is also about double the average for such service at other shops!

I recently visited this place to get a new set of tires and unfortunately had a disappointing experience due to poor management. The manager bill Taylor, in particular, handled the situation poorly, which significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. From the outset, it was evident that the manager lacked effective communication skills and seemed disinterested in addressing customer concerns. Instead of resolving issues, their approach only exacerbated the situation, leaving me frustrated and dissatisfied. The lack of professionalism was apparent throughout my interaction with the manager. It's disheartening when those in manger roles fail to set a positive tone for the rest of the staff and, ultimately, the customer experience.I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement. Clear communication and a customer-centric approach are crucial elements in any service-oriented business

I had the honor to meet Robert who was doing the inspections. I’ve been here 3 times but missing the closing time for inspections. I came as the last car was going in, he told me that this was his last car. I explained what’s happened to me before. I explained I was a high school teacher and I can’t make it out of school that easy when school bell is 4:18. He gave me a smile and said not a problem. Those few words elevated so much stress off of me! A great way to end my day. Robert is extremely personable individual and who should never lose him . Thanks HL

For car inspection, waiting in line from 10am. There is only one guy doing inspections and there were exactly 5 cars ahead of me. At 1pm, still second person waiting. Never ever come here for inspection because these guys have no incentive to do these inspections faster.

NEVER take your car here. It's a total rip off. Went in for an oil change and they came back and said we needed a new serpentine belt, new brake pads and rotors, and a line flush. They quoted us at $800 for only the brakes work. That should not cost more than $500 at the very most. Then they quoted us at $249 for the belt and the oil change plus labor. The oil change cost $74, but should not cost more than $40, so that's a rip off. The belt cost $94 when you can order it yourself for $25 at the most. They said it would take 45 minutes to put the belt on, when in reality a good mechanic would only take 15-20 minutes to put it on. They took that long so they could charge us an additional $159 for labor, which is their base labor cost per hour (rip off). Then when they called and said our car was done, they said the mechanic misquoted us with the belt price and said the total would be over $100 more, making the total about $360. They put the new belt on without getting our consent to pay an additional $100, and just expected us to pay for it. Again, they never notified us about the price change. I demanded my money back but they told me they couldn't do it. I left and the mechanic and the front desk worker ran out after me and offered to do a free alignment for me to get me to shut up about the mistake. I called back a few days later and got my money back. This place basically tried to steal money from us.

I am serving all my cars at Ashburn Farms locations for many years. On 2/15/2023 I brought my BMW X5 for oil change. Few weeks later I noticed oil on the floor. I took it back and was told that incorrect filter was installed. I was told that the new was installed and oil replaced again, and it should be ok now. In September I noticed oil on the floor again and took car back. Technicians checked and told me that everything is ok and just some oil washed after the rain. I was driving in October and received warning that my oil level is low and needs to be added. I took car again in on 10/17. This time I am told that plug damaged pan and and now oil pan is leaking, and it will cost me $3,775 to replace it. Store manager said that they are not responsible even his shop was making oil change and looking at the issue 3 times.

Go here only if you have 4 plus hours time in hand to sit and wait in the car. Went for safety inspection couple months ago and waited for over 3 hours to get my turn. I thought I went on a busy day. Came again second time with my other car. In the line from last three ours and still waiting for my turn. Writing this while waiting in the line. Not leaving the line because I already waited for three hours. My last time visiting this place.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I parked my Jeep in a handicap spot. I have a permit, which was laying down on the dashboard.I wanted to buy a case of Mangos next door at Patel Brothers Supermarket. When I returned to my vehicle, an employee from Virginia Tire and Auto aggressively approached me while in my vehicle. His behavior constitutes harassment.I thought something had happened. I lowered my window and the employee asked me for my permit and stated that I did not look disabled. It is evident that this person lacks intellect and an education. My response to him was simple…Are you a cop? If not mind your business, I do not answer to you. The employee stated that he was going to have me towed and call the cops.I waited a while and decided to enter the retail location to ask to speak to the manager. There were four employees at the counter. None of them wanted to provide me with the name of the manager.Out of principle, I waited for the cop. Obviously, I was not towed and ticketed because I AM disabled. There is no justification for an employee to approach me and question my medical status. Moreover, to approach my vehicle with an aggressive demeanor.I will NEVER visit this location for any type of repair for my vehicle. I will make sure that my friends and family do the same.I will be filing a grievance with the attorney general office, the BBB and more importantly the agency that oversees ADA.ADA violations include discrimination against disabled individuals in public accommodations, and other areas. Penalties vary depending on the type of violation. This is far from over. I expect to be contacted by the CEO’s Michael and Julie Holmes. This location is filled with employees that have nothing better to do. I wonder how corporate allows this location to spend so much money on labor while employees just hang around. It is obvious that the productivity and efficiency of this team is below the companies standards. Where is the leadership here?

Just had safety inspection, failed on brakes. They quoted me a price to fix. After shopping the job around I went back to this shop because the could meet my time line, had the lowest estimate, and the best warranty on the work, Josh seemed to know what he was doing. Nice job! My 2014 Ram with 42k miles stops great now!

No proper explanation of labour charges before changing parts. Labour is exceptionally high. Suggesting, asking them labour price before changing small things like air filters. Felt like being RIPPED OFF.
