The 20 corporate photos on the listing need to be deleted. Drove to the wrong location thinking this was some other spot (started my taxes here)
Many reviews claim getting taxes done cost 350$ - 500$. Some imply its only at this location. Maybe it's due to making revenue in NoVa but that's sickening. I've paid 80$ a yr the last 10 years. 3 of them were with H&R Block.
The front desk has an old school way of talking easy to take negatively.
Parking lot is tight, crowded, kinda dangerous. There's a bar next door w people coming & going often. People like to park on the street facing curb
The entrance has a 2nd route beside bldg w no stop sign & it's blocked by shrubs ofc so you have to come to a standstill in the main road to look both ways.
The pkg lot exit merges w the other pkg lots and has no stop markings. It's a mess

I really wanted to like this location as my new go-to for my taxes, because I’ve been using H&R Block for a long time, but the hour wait when I had an appointment, was unacceptable. I had to cancel my appointment and go with someone else.

Called the day before my appointment to ask if they had a guest wifi since all my documents were on my computer. Additionally, I told the woman that I had already completed the majority of my tax prep but needed guidance in one area. I was told that the wifi doesn't always work and I may have to use Ashburn Pub's. (fortunately, I know how to use my phone as a hot spot but still...really...no accessible, secure wifi?...with all the important data you are seeing???) Then she told me they cannot access what I have already completed but there would still be a consult fee. I mean what a joke. Glad I was able to do my own taxes and get help elsewhere for a simple question....

Kadeen, was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her. She is well versed on the tax codes. She is highly regarded in the community and she is a consummate tax professional. If you want your taxes done right within a respectable time frame the first time go to Kadeen.

Last year was my first time that H&R Block prepared my taxes. My preparer Mike, was awesome and did an exceptional job. This year, 3 months prior received reminders via email on scheduling tax filing. I made an appointment 10 days prior to the April 15 deadline. Day of appointment, went to office, didn't get to see preparer and was told the I had to file an extension even after making an appointment prior to that date. Receptionist might have had a bad week but was extremely condescending and quite honestly a bit rude. Very frustrating. My requested preparer and whom I had made the appointment with didn't do my returns. Someone else did and it seems she is only in the office every other week. Just had another riveting conversation with " the " Receptionist that wouldn't transfer me to anyone else. Just want to pay my bill there and and get my paperwork.
Only one person, but it is a shame H&R Block will loose a client over misleading and Misrepresented information.

We had three state tax forms filed for 2023. So far, two of the three have been incorrect. We got corrections back. We were told when we did our taxes, all state taxes were reviewed by a separate office and took 2 extra weeks. We were also charged per state that needed to be filed only to find out they were incorrect. I will be calling the office soon waiting to see if the last state was incorrect too. Also wondering if Federal may be incorrect.

Be careful this place especially a guy named Mike. Be very careful. He’s a liar and he charged me $500 for nothing no refund. Nothing be very very careful. It’s the last time I’m ever gonna go there.

We all know how stressful filing taxes can be. So I decided to file my taxes this year at H and R block. What an amazing and stress free experience! I highly highly recommend Anil! He takes the time to review all the documents and makes sure the paperwork is all filed correctly. Couldn’t do it without him!

We used the HRB location in Ashburn and we were very pleased with how Gail helped us through a difficult tax prep (due to employer errors). She followed up numerous times, was prompt and answered all our Qs. We are confident we got the best deductions and she is very personable as well. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed with this particular center. The person knew as much as I did. Could have filled it online myself. Spent 350$ yet incomplete work. Found errors in W-7 form plus was not correctly advised when received notice from IRS.

I was well received at the HR Block office at the Ashburn Shopping Plaza location. I had a great visit with Gail Giovanucci. Gail was very helpful in answering all my tax questions and she is very knowledgeable in her work. Thanks Gail!!!
