I have started with Joyoga when she first opened her studio 10 years ago. Joy is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced and a caring teacher. She will always explain modifications for any pose that she does. I went through a very stressful time in my life a few years ago and joy’s classes helped me stay positive and calm through it. I have learned and continue to learn so much from her classes.

I highly recommend Joyoga studio to yoga students of all levels. Joy’s a warm, encouraging teacher who makes her students feel comfortable whether they're new to yoga or experienced yogis. Her studio is beautiful and well stocked with props including mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps, and more for her students’ use. She keeps her classes small so she can provide individual attention to each student, gently suggesting position adjustments when needed.I've been a student at Joyoga for many years. An amazing thing about Joy’s studio is that each of her classes is unique. She plans each class carefully, focusing on improving her students’ strength, flexibility and balance with an overall goal to help them age gracefully. There’s a feeling of peace and serenity in her studio because she genuinely cares about her students. If you’re considering taking yoga classes, Joyoga is the place for you.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Joy and her yoga studio Joyoga. Her studio is beautiful, welcoming, and so peaceful. She provides modifications throughout her classes so that everyone- beginner to advanced- can enjoy while feeling supported. Joy is truly a blessing to all that know her. I’m so grateful to have found Joyoga - what a difference she has made for me.

Writing a review is not necessarily a simple task, especially if you are venturing into an area you have never before entered. For that reason, I know my review will not be a single episode. One of the reasons I am writing this review (the first of several I will write) has to do with my reasons for being in a yoga class in the first place.

A total yoga novice at 59, I was a little apprehensive at my first class, but came away feeling rested and rejuvenated both physically and mentally. Joy makes an extra effort to meet each student where they are individually which makes class a success for everyone there. The breathing work, stretches and other movements always leave me in a great place to meet the rest of my day and the studio itself is lovely and peaceful.

I’ve been doing yoga with Joy for two and a half years and it has been a wonderful experience. I swim competitively and yoga has been an awesome supplement to my training regimen. Along with this, Joy really cares about helping me and alwAys figures out exactly what my body needs. I always look forward to seeing Joy every week!!!

Joyoga is a wonderful place to learn yoga and attend yoga classes. Joy is delightful and her classes are relaxing and peaceful to the mind and body. Joy is knowledgeable, helpful and thorough; she is friendly, warm, and delightful to be around. Her classes are smaller so she can give you a lot of attention if needed, she strives to ensure your technique is correct. In addition, Joy provides all the equipment needed, from blankets, matts, and any props that might be necessary for the class. Joys classes are well thought out and when completed you will feel relaxed and ready for the day or night.

I took my first ever yoga class with Joy several weeks ago. She is very mindful and patient with a beginner like me. I leave there feeling like I have learned something and done something good for myself. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in either starting or continuing yoga to give Joyoga a try!!

LOVED everything about this place! The studio is located in a very quiet and a peaceful area. I have been to a couple of other Yoga studios, but my best experience has been with Joy Yogi. She is knowledgeable, skilled and a professional in this and is up-to-date with anything new that comes up in Asanas. In every class she always has something new to share she thinks could benefit us. She knows every student by their name! Even though there are several other folks in a class, she gives attention to each individual making you feel you are in a one-on-one session with her.The studio as such has all the things you need to practice any Yoga Asana. I feel amazing every time I leave this place.

Grateful for Joyoga: Four years ago, having no yoga training, I was apprehensive about joining a class at Joyoga Studio. Now I look forward to twice weekly yoga sessions with warm and caring Joy. She has a way of making all students feel completely at ease and focused regardless of skill level. Joy shares the latest findings in the yoga industry and thoroughly explains the whys and mechanics involved in each movement. Her studio is clean, professional and completely equipped with props necessary for a varied range of movements making us all stronger and more confident in daily activities. Joy believes we are all here for one another and truly believes in helping each of us be all we can become. Sincerely - Beth Z

I didn't start yoga until I was in my sixties, so I was nervous about doing too much too soon. Joy assesses your abilities first very thoroughly before you dive in. Her gentle class has been just what I've needed, but don't let the word gentle fool you. She pushes you to be your best self, which can lead to huffing and puffing and working up a good sweat at times, all the while reinforcing that you should never push yourself to the point where you feel pain of any kind. It's a mantra she repeats often, and I have now built up to taking two classes a week and suffer with withdrawal if I miss a class. I have more energy and flexibility - and less stress - than ever, and I feel confident that my balance, posture and sense of well-being will only get better with age.

Breath work, stretching, movement and final relaxation at Joyoga always leads me to a better place physically, mentally and emotionally. The studio itself is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Classes are small with individual attention. There is a caring and relaxed atmosphere. Joy and Pat are compassionate and experienced teachers. They are constantly increasing their own knowledge through workshops and advanced training which they in turn pass on to their students. I highly recommend talking with Joy and finding the right class at Joyoga for you!

This studio is perfect for people new to yoga. Joy is an excellent instructor. She focuses on teaching poses and individualizes classes to her students' needs. She creates opportunities to challenge the mind and body but also includes restorative poses. The studio is beautiful and Joy incorporates a wonderfully long shavasana at the end of her practice.
