I recently stopped at this Shell gas station in Ashburn, VA and left feeling very skeptical about the accuracy of their pumps. Over the years, I’ve consistently tracked my fuel usage, and I know my vehicle very well. When the low fuel light comes on, it typically takes about 13 to 14 gallons to fill the tank completely. However, at this station, I was shocked to see the pump register 15 gallons, which simply doesn’t align with the actual capacity of my car’s tank.
This raised an immediate red flag for me. Out of curiosity, I checked the inspection sticker on the pump, and to no surprise, it was dated over two years ago. That’s highly concerning. Fuel pumps are supposed to be regularly calibrated and inspected to ensure customers are getting what they pay for. With outdated certification, there’s no guarantee that these pumps are accurate—or fair.
It's disappointing and frankly, feels dishonest. Gas is expensive enough as it is; the last thing drivers need is inaccurate fueling equipment possibly charging for more fuel than is actually dispensed.
Until they update and re-certify their pumps, I’ll be avoiding this location and recommending others do the same. There are plenty of other gas stations nearby that are better maintained and more trustworthy.

This review is for the car wash only. Do not waste your money on this car wash. It is one of the worst if not the worst I have used. Water without pressure,, soap and heat only worked on the left side. It does not take credit cards. Speaker at the entrance is broken, thus you cannot hear instructions, no receipt for paid transaction,. Beware!!!

But hey it wont remove your clearcoat like all the other car washes.

This place is a scam. Stoled my money by claiming I paid $10bill right after I handed him a $20bill. Instead of writing automatic response, please check your closed circuit video and see how your employee steal cash from customers.

Put $20.in gas in my truck this morning, and my card was charged.$200. Trying to dispute it, but didn't get a receipt. Never do at the pump.

Please save yourself money and time the touchless car wash is absolutely useless. I bought the most expensive wash and it did not do a damn thing so again save yourself $12 and plenty of time.

Fix your cash only issue for the wash. Cut your trees by the car wash so it doesn't scratch the cars. Cash only sometimes works sometimes doesn't.

If you check on GasBuddy app, "someone" posts fake gas prices everyday. Like clockwork. Every morning. Seems hard to believe an outsider would diligently post prices every AM.They are off by 50 to 99c.I have now been following this station and a user on GasBuddy and I see this bait pattern. This station is 30c expensive than other Shell for premium.Stay away.

I recently visited the gas station that advertised a touchless car wash, and unfortunately, my experience left me feeling quite disappointed. The machine used at this particular station seemed outdated, and it didn’t deliver enough pressure or soap to adequately wash my car. As a result, my car ended up looking like it had never been washed at all. It was truly a waste of money.

Gas and in store prices have sky rocketed. A can of Arizona is $2.99 + tax.Gas here is currently $0.233 more than the next station. Crazy.
