Complete crooks. I stopped in yesterday because the wife's tire was low on air. They filled air and the tech (who was polite and helpful) said it was pretty low and it it does get low again that I should bring it in and they'd check it for free and only charge me for a patch.I go in this morning and Ron wrote me up and took the car into the shop. Ron comes back and says the tire cannot be patched since there is a nail too close to the sidewall and the patch needs a flat surface. He then quoted me $306 for one tire (mind you much cheaper elsewhere). When I declined attitude completely changed.Tech brings car back and when I ask Ron if I'm set to go, he just completely ignores me. I go ahead and plug the tire myself. You can see where the nail was and there is more than enough space for where you can have placed a patch on the tire.Completely dishonest and solely focused on upselling customers.

Never coming back.they said they’ll do a diagnostic and won’t charge if nothing came up. then they said nothing came up and still charged me $150. Wouldn’t give the keys until I paid. Robbery.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I brought my car here because is was lagging really bad when I would accelerate (something the dealership missed on my maintenance check). Jake, Nate & Brian were beyond phenomenal with dealing with me. From keeping in the loop and being totally transparent with what was going on with my car…to me having to come back because I forgot my garage opener inside my car, to helping me sign up for a membership to save some money. I’ve had my car serviced here numerous times and have never had any issues. Thank you to the Ice Rink Plaza team, you all are amazing. (Side note: if more coupons were available that would be A+).Service: Engine repair

DULLES location charged me $1275 yesterday saying I needed a new expansion tank and thermostat my car only for it to die today (the very next day)...it's already rotten when shops upsell but to not do any work at all and STEAL from customers is criminal.The portly leprechaun looking narcissistic store manager Brian is a smirked gaslighting circular conversation of a nightmare to try to reason with and I even had to call the cops over to report the theft they pulled on me because i want it noted that at this location I was stolen $1275 from.I'm kicking myself because last year another of their shops in STERLING charged me $826 with the same MOTUS OPERANI. To allow me to leave the lot thinking my car was fixed. Same thing. It died NEXT DAY. I had to have it towed to the dealership for a transmission but VA Tire and Auto wants a quick deceitful buck at the biggest expense to customer possible with zero shame. They have a whole song and dance and refuse to make it right and think it's ok to take advantage of people who drive older cars in or who are tight on funds. I work around the county and I've told ALL my vast list of clients why I was late today and in detail so they're going to lose a lot of money for that quick buck they though they'd make scamming hard working people like me.Dont go to *ANY* of their locations! Criminal scum and they have a whole plot the way they carry it out! :(

Got an oil change. After the oil change, I had a rattling noise at 40+ MPH. Took it back in to fix it. They replaced some missing clips by what they said but the rattling was still there. They advised I could pay for an inspection. I went home and checked under the car and found they left a bolt loose holding the undercarriage cover on basically just threaded a couple threads. The guy that checked the car even drove it and confirmed the sound was there. VA Tire and Auto will never see my car again. The lack of attention has been quite unfortunate. When you slack with people's cars, don't suggest paid services to the customer or you'll never see them again.

I went in for an emissions test. Overall, Service was okay, but the technicians are a different story. They can come off very rude and cocky. Thank goodness for the gentleman on the front line.

I always go with this specific location for an oil change. There have been issues but nothing compared to what I experienced today.After a couple hours of my car being at this establishment with them working on my oil change and tire rotation, I receive a call from Ron saying my car is ready for pickup. I take an Uber there and find out that they are not ready. I ended up waiting 30 mins. I was pretty upset that my time was wasted and asked to speak to a manager. Ron indicated his manager was in a meeting and he will call me when available. I am still waiting for the call.This place doesn't care about their customers at all. It seems that wasting my time is of no concern to them. I will never go back here.

I've been going here for all my car stuff for two years now. Friendly, helpful, patient, and most importantly don't try to upsell me. As somebody unfamiliar with the inspections process and with cars in general I really appreciate the patience and helpfulness of the staff. Shout out to Muhammad for being especially kind and helpful!

I took my car in today because I had a nail in the tire. I appreciate that they were able to address my issue quickly. I dropped it off first thing in the morning and it was ready to go after lunch. They also didn’t try to upsell a new tire - they patched it and I was on my way.I’ve been using VA Tire and Auto for several years and I’ve always felt that they’re honest, upfront, and reliable - which is something you don’t always get in this industry.Other than the dealership, I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else for service.

Made an appointment for oil change and they tell me they are very busy and that I can drop off, they will give me a ride back home. I took my car and they tell me they can’t provide a ride to me since I am not in 5 mile radius, j am in 6 miles. I told them the reason I brought it in was because I could drop the car and they would get me a ride back. No one wanted to acknowledge what they had told me in the phone. One employee further tells me that they think they have dealt with me before about this when I have never gone to them and asked for ride back. I found that to be very rude, they are thinking I am someone else who comes and gives them a hard time. Had a bad experience this time around.

Recently one of my cars started making a rattling sound. We took it to a reputable repair shop, they diagnosed it to be front STRAUTS on one side having the issue. This was replaced by VA tire in 2012 (still under warranty). The repair shop highly recommended replacing in pairs which matched with the original recommendation by VA Tires in 2012. VA Tire honored the warranty but only replaced one STRAUT which was having the issue.If STRATUS need to be replaced in pair and is highly recommended, why not follow the same when it is their turn? I had too many cases where VA tires are not looking out for the customer's best interest hence we started using a local repair shop that has been pretty honest.While providing good service, I don't trust them to do the right thing for the customer.
