It has been a great experience working with Rick on installing a wet bar. He has been very timely with communication from start to finish on the project. He provided multiple options and potential layouts to choose from after meeting with me and helped me figure out the best use for the space. Being local and familiar with areas home builders, he was able to communicate with the construction company that built my home to get further information on the rough-in. He handled all the permitting and was very knowledgeable about county permitting and requirements. He has proven to be reliable and trustworthy during the process and the end project quality was exceptional. Would definitely recommend and use again for future projects.

Virginia Remodelings did a wonderful job for us in finishing our basement. Rick offered practical suggestions and worked with us as we put the final touches on our design plan. The craftsmanship was excellent and we found Rick to be very communicative throughout the process, often answering our questions at nights and on the weekends. He and his team's attention to detail was second to none.
Specifically, Rick and his team built a media room with a step for tiered seating, a bathroom with intricate tile work, a wet bar area with cabinetry, a large recreational space, and a separate office space.
We would recommend Rick and his team at Virginia Remodelings for any basement finishing job!

We hired Virginia Remodelings to finish our basement. They did a very good job and we are happy with the outcome for a number of reasons.
First, they were honest. We had a very detailed list of what they would do, and where applicable a budget for materials to be used, such as flooring and tile. Some shady contractors provide little detail and want a large up-front deposit before they do any work. Aside from a reasonable down payment, VA Remodelings did not ask for additional payments until completion of specified items of the project. VA Remodelings delivered what they promised. Also, we never had any issues with workers going into parts of the house they weren't supposed to be in. We never felt unsafe with any of the crews.
Secondly, VA Remodelings did quality work. I had some past experience working construction so was interested in the details of their work. Their framing was laser straight, and they spaced the wall studs every 16" as opposed to 24". They also added a row of horizontal blocks between the studs. This made for very sturdy walls, especially the interior walls that jut-out from the house foundation. Corners were very square. Straight and square framing makes a big difference when the drywall gets hung: the walls look good, don't bow, and a lot of nail pops don't form. They also hung the drywall vertically as opposed to horizontally. This makes a big improvement in how the walls look after finishing. They spent a lot of time miter cutting trim and floor board to make all the corners look good.
Lastly, the price was fair. We had quotes from other companies significantly higher than VA Remodelings. We spent a lot of money on this project but believe we got a fair deal considering the size of the basement and the amount of material and labor that went into it.
In the end, we are happy that we hired VA Remodelings to finish our basement. It was a big project that turned out very well. The basement space looks fantastic.

Rick at Virginia Remodelings was extremely responsive, helpful, and professional from start to finish with my project. I needed my open stairs closed in for safety of my soon to be crawling baby. Rick came quickly to provide a quote and provided a good recommendation of how to close in the stairs due to the way they were built. He fit my project in among a filled schedule as it posed a safety issue. The work performed was of great quality and completed in a timely manner. We had great experience with Virginia Remodelings team for our basement finish project.
Right from creating different layout for the basement till end of the project everything was perfect and delivered on-time.
Initially we had no idea about the process, price, and time of the project but Virginia Remodelings team explained everything politely and clearly without any hesitation and answered all our basic questions in detail. We never saw Virginia Remodelings team rushing into something or forcing us to sign the project. We always had liberty to come up with our own ideas and team turned our imagination into reality.

We met with several other contractors before we started our project. The other contractors either did not get back to us or told us they did not want to take on the job, it involved excavating to move the bathtub drain, setting up new pipes and electric wiring. Rick worked with us and provided suggestions on how the work would be more achievable and become a reality. After developing a design, Rick agreed to take on the job. Rick and the rest of the Virginia Remodelings team are top quality in every aspect of the construction industry. From planning and design, all through the construction phase, and even now, Rick and his team takes great care of us and our home. I am extremely happy with the quality of work that was done and the trust that was built during the process is unwavering. If we had any questions or concerns, Rick was always there to answer, even on the weekends. Rick and his team went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and stayed under our original budget and finished in a timely manner. He worked with us to create a project plan that fit within the scope of our budget, he made suggestions along the way to improve the functionality of our space, and he finished the closets on time despite unforeseen shipping delays with the doors. However, the most impressive thing about Rick was that he was always on-site to oversee the project himself. He was meticulous about getting the small things right and even helped us move our furniture back into place before leaving! We are absolutely thrilled with the final result and I hope we get a chance to work with him and his team again in the future.

We recently finished our basement and contracted the job to Rick Wilson of Virginia Remodelings. This was a large project that spanned 3 months and consisted of adding a bedroom with egress window, full bathroom, entertainment room, kitchen/bar, gym and mechanical room. We couldn’t be more pleased with the final product that was delivered by Rick of Virginial Remodelings. Rick is a true professional with attention to detail and he demands the same from his employees. Rick also insured that the work place was always clean at the end of the day and updated us frequently as to what would be taking place during the upcoming days. Rick always provided timely notifications when the electricity or water would need to be turned off. Whenever any unforeseen obstacles were presented, Rick always provided options. During the entire process, Rick would often share ideas with us that we had not considered. We found his knowledge and experience to be very valuable, especially in the selection of materials and the layout of various things from plumbing, electrical items and doorways. Another area that I would give high marks to Rick, is communication. Over a 3 month period, there were a lot of emails and texts with questions that would pop up from us and Rick always replied immediately, something that we appreciated. I can say that when we typically hire a contractor for a job, big or small, we have rarely hired them a second time. There are so many contractors out there today that talk a good game to get your business but just fail to deliver what you expect, how and when you expected it. Not so with Rick, he does exactly what he says he will do. We hired Virginia Remodeling to do a full basement renovation for us. From the start, I was impressed by the Principal, Rick Wilson, and his practical and honest approach to the job. They provided a very detailed cost estimate more so than some of the other competitors which was reassuring to us that they understood the project and the county building codes. They provided a lot of free project design work, in 3D dimension, up front and offered cost saving recommendations which was a tremendous help as we were uncertain on some points. Their pricing was competitive and the quality of the work was top notch, paying meticulous attention to the smallest details. They were very flexible and accommodating with integrating some changes that we requested mid stream during the project and still able to maintain the schedule. Lastly, we really appreciated the way they always kept the site straighten out and clean and took trash to dump instead of us having to deal with a large dumpster on our property.
