Refused to honor warranty. 1.5 years later this is how their work looked. They belittled me by talking to me like I knew nothing. Their warranty is supposedly lifetime, but they can’t fix crappy work just 1.5 years after the repair? Unreal the audacity of these people and Rob, the owner, in particular.

Left fish eyes all in my paint and refused to correct it stating that it would cost $2000 to have the “whole thing done right”, $2000 is what I initially payed them. So why wasn’t it done right after I paid the $2000 it would take? They made up a bunch of backwards excuses to not fix my paint that looks like crap.
I wish I would’ve taken my car anywhere else. They will take advantage of you if you’re paying out of pocket, because insurance would’ve forced them to do it right or they won’t get paid. Rude, alcoholic employees I talked to only added insult to injury.

Honest Work and Great Customer Service
We had some body work done at Ferber’s Auto Body, and while the final cost ended up being over $200 more than the original estimate, there had been no communication or approval beforehand. When we went to pick up the car and brought this up with Brad, he immediately acknowledged the oversight and agreed that we should have been contacted before the work was completed. Without any hassle, he made it right and honored the original estimate.
Mistakes can happen anywhere, but how a business responds says everything — and Ferber’s handled it professionally and fairly. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences here, and I’ll definitely continue to bring them my business. Highly recommend for both the quality of work and the integrity behind it.

Ferber’s Body Shop is the best! I stopped in and Ryan Gonzalez immediately gave me an estimate. We secured the parts and had the item installed within 30 minutes! In less than 2 hours estimate to complete! WOW! I’ll come to Ferber’s every time! Thanks!!

I use the Ferber's in Ashland and they are fantastic. I love how easy it is to book online. They send detailed summaries of the work that needs done on your vehicle, including pictures, that you can review online. Their staff is always friendly and honest. Most recently, James at Ashland, did the work on my vehicle. He answered my questions and was not pushy about any of the work that was recommended. They also always follow up to make sure that you had a good experience. Highly recommended!

Working with Ferber’s has been a fantastic experience. They were caring, worked with me regarding my timeline and budget, and provided me with all the flexibility I needed to fix my car. Angel was incredible efficient, caring and supportive throughout the process. You should definitely try Ferbers if you need a body shop! They are the best!

Terrible experience. Was not what I expected based on other reviews.
The quarter panel section they worked on was the only work that needed to be done and it has cracks all in the paint because they slapped too much bondo on the repair and unfortunately there’s nothing I can do since it wasn’t through insurance - who would force them to redo it. Interestingly enough, they claimed that to “have it done right” it would need to be stripped down, which they said was $2000… which I already gave them? So, they didn’t do it right for $2,000, but to do it right it would cost $2,000.. scammers. These guys golf on weekends and saw body repair as a way to generate money and business, but don’t have a passion for it whatsoever.
Edit (response to owner): Privately taking my concerns about the initial work to the owner with the hopes of having it fixed only made things worse as he turned his whole staff against me. Four of them came outside at once to take a look at the issue and quickly ganged up on me under his instigation. The owners last words to me were “you can take it home and use the panel now as a practice panel” - in reference to the panel that was not done well… the most rude and disrespectful thing you can say to someone after butchering their car (he and his staff laughed at that and my respectful concerns were met with that final response. Could you imagine!?) He never thought I’d use this platform to share my experience and is now magically concerned and wanting to “make things right”. I wouldn’t come back there if you payed me man…. I’m good.
You sleazily voted yourselves (anyone can text to vote) the best body shop in RVA - 2023 by spam texting the voting number enough times to win. That along with their sales manager guaranteeing me that they can “make it look how it did before” is how they got my business just to tell me “we are not a restoration shop” when they failed to repair it.
Just for more context: I had a rear end collision so minor that the bumper and trunk suffered hardly any damage and they still couldn’t get it right despite paying them $2,000 out of pocket and leaving the car with them for over a month! My tail light and trunk are both still crooked and weren’t even touched!! They were in denial and pretended that I was crazy and seeing things. All you will see at their locations are government vehicles (not requiring attention to detail) involved in “pit maneuvers” and fender benders, and that’s what they should stick to. They are an extension of a used tire installation shop.
The lifetime warranty that they claim to give is bogus. They declined to correct their work out-the-door.
