Clean store with very large parking lot.
Tucked into a nice quiet area where I have never experienced any issues with any employees people or any other items.
Always seems to have stock of items didn’t know whether tractor supply has within a 40 mile radius area, which is really good as it is very helpful so I do not have to buy online and we’re on the risk of having issues.

Store does not open on time. They watch you stand in the cold while they are 5 minutes late unlocking the door.

I had purchased the Red Shed 48 in. Ground Breaking Skeleton through the online store for Ashland Tractor Supply on August 8th 2024. My husband went to pick it up the same day and it was the floor model (no big deal as long as it wasn’t broken) as the young man was taking it apart my husband noticed the arm was indeed broken. Sad to say the least but the manager Terry assured that a new shipment would be coming the next week and they would have 3 new skeletons in boxes (perfect!!). We let them know we’d be on a family beach vacation but would be able to pick it up Saturday (only a few days after the shipment got to the store) when we got home from vacation my husband called to check in on our skeleton and was told they had none and they had all been sold - he was transferred to Samantha who said she would do her best to find another one either through the warehouse or a store transfer and we truly appreciated that. Once again, we heard nothing back and when calling again was told it couldn’t be done.
This skeleton was bought and paid for a month ago! How on Earth could we be overlooked and forgotten?? As someone who works in HR and knows this system very well the warehouse as well as anyone rocking the truck should have known and been told to hold one of these boxes for a previously PAID customer.
It is truly disappointing that now a month later we will not be able to have this product for Halloween and this season. How disappointed I am in Terry for not allowing her staff to know and even worse that other stores had this product back on August 8th 2024 and could of had a transfer done at any time that day, the week after they SOLD all 3, and once we called to REMIND them we had already BOUGHT this product. Instead, we are stuck with absolutely nothing and everything sold out because we put our trust into the tractor supply company and their staff who didn’t care enough to do their job correctly.
*****I have to add a response to the comment below from tractor supply since there is no reply button - I have called that number and there is no one to speak to or even a number to click in regards to what has happened. Just a bunch of shipping and tracking information.*****

My first visit to the store. I was shopping around for large planters at the best price and found Tractor Supply. Fantastic prices ( less than the big store down the street). Service from the staff was great. Very helpful and willing to load my car. Also appreciated the ease of getting in and out of the Ashland Store without dealing with a Hugh parking lot. Definitely 5 stars!

I went in to purchase several bags of grass seed and potting soil. I walked around, looking for someone to help as I had questions. I waited a while next to one gentleman who was already helping someone. But mostly talking about local gossip. Felt like this is where he could have asked if I needed help. After some time I ended up walking out with nothing. No one said hello, welcome. Do you need help, I’ll be with you in a minute. I went out of my way in an attempt to spend my money locally, but now it’s going to Amazon. I think the store could benefit from some hospitality and work ethic training. Seems to be in line with previous reviews and other locals I’ve spoken to. Everything was cheaper on Amazon anyway. Was just trying help out the local market. So try to help us out too if you want continued service.

Today I went to the Ashland, VA store to purchase a harness for my service dog (a Pit Bull). When we got out of the car, my service dog urinated outside two times. Upon entering the store, a woman saw him urinate and she started yelling at me and telling me her show dogs would never do that. Then, when my dog got inside the store, he urinated briefly two more times on the concrete floor, which I was sorry that happened (he has health issues) and I was wanting to ask for a paper towel and something to clean it, but the manager had an attitude toward is so I didn't ask for cleaning materials. I went on to shop for the harness and the lady who was yelling at me when I first came into the store, continued following me and yelling at me. I asked her if she worked there she said no I'm shopping and you should not be allowed to come into the store. She said the police should be called. She said it loud all the employees heard it. Still they allowed this person to continue yelling at me and they stood there and didn't say a word. About 10 minutes, later three police officers came in to confront me. They asked the woman who at yelled me if she called, but she got the employee to call. They then asked the employee was anything wrong and she told them that the dog urinated inside and they asked her what does she want to be done and she said she was concerned about store products, but nothing to be done. The employee also said they normally offer cleaning products to the customers, but I did not get that offer and was too upset to ask for cleaning products. While in the store, I saw two spaces where someone's dog had pooped and I saw that someone wiped it up. When I pointed out that poop had been wiped up from another dog, she yelled it was probably your dog! There were other dogs in the store at the time I was there, but they only focused on my service dog and me. After this incident, I took my quiet dog to the car and left him there while I shopped for his harness. I told someone about the incident and they said they would not have purchased the harness. I bought the harness, but I do plan to return it unopened/unused.
No one offered to help me in any way to find out if I needed help. Not a welcoming feeling at all. Totally different experience in the store than what I experienced for many years.
We were harassed, and I felt there had been dog breed discrimination. I have shopped at this store for many years. But I do not plan to continue shopping there. The experience was overwhelmingly disappointing.

Had been purchasing bird seed from my local grocery store and a lot of the round red seeds were being left on the ground. Browsed your website and visited the Ashland store this morning. Found better seed content, less filler and a lot more reasonable...35lbs for $17.79.. win win...I will by back and tell my friends..thanks

While most of the staff they do have is decent, one lady in particular, Sam and as well as a few others are rude and unhelpful. I usually come to this store at least once a week, however if the service keeps going this way I’ll be driving much further to the Rockville location.

Me and my girlfriend are first time chicken buyers and the staff was awesome. Younger guy Patrick helped us out and went the extra mile to make sure we were set up for success. Polite friendly and very knowledgeable.
