I wish I could give zero stars. We cancelled in January because we couldn't get anyone to come fill our tank. Now nobody will come and pick up the tank. Been sitting in our front yard since January. How oh how do you stay in business. Free to anyone who will come get it

Stay as far away as possible as you can from this company, they were bought out by a bigger company. Send a sneaky letter that you never get to make you pay a $250 inactive fee. If you don't fill up your propane tanks every year, and your only option is to either pay the fee or they pick up your tanks. This place is absolutely pathetic and I hope everybody can see this and find someone else

I always receive incredible customer service from Virginia Propane/Superior Plus. Marie in customer service is responsive and answers any questions I have. Rates and delivery times are reasonable. Great experience all around - recommended.

I would like to say I had a good experience but NOT. Had a leak went down to the office on Air Park Road in Ashland Va. spoke to the lady, she had a tech come out to help find the leak. I told her I would need propane to check for leaks, oh your on will call it could be 5 to 7 days before we can get to you. The tech has a drop tank to check you system. Tech showed up said he did not know what the lady was talking about, I don't have any propane. I apologized to the tech for wasting his time for coming out. He asked if they can get it any quicker, I said I don't know let me call. I called and they said nope 5-7 days. I made other arrangements for propane, because with the temperatures my family could not wait.
Sounds like folks there don't know what they are talking about. Service has really changed with the buy out of the other companies.
Good things to say, the tech that came out was amazing and very understanding. The young lady that assisted me with the cancelation of my contract was also very helpful.

This company is totally unreliable. They don’t care if you run out of gas. I called for delivery 14 days ago and it still hasn’t arrived. I called today and all they said was it may be this week.

We called on 1/17/25 for delivery even though we have automatic delivery. They would not honor the automatic delivery for some reason. Our tank had been <5%. We have had to reduce our heat to very low levels to conserve. I have spoken to the reps several times. They assured me I was on their list for delivery but it has never happened. It’s 1/26/25 and we are still waiting. I am unable to go to another company as they own the tank. Not sure what else today. Once we run out of propane will need to go to a hotel. This is just awful
Follow up—our propane was delivered. The company did call us alerting us about the delivery.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Had tank filled almost a month ago (driver broke gate when filling tank but that’s a small issue). Driver stated there was a leak when so he disconnected the tank and said someone would contact us. Reached out because no one had contacted us and was told they checked it and there were no leaks. No one came by the day they said they “checked” the tank and the tank is still disconnected. Have not been able to get anyone to answer the phone or return a call. Would absolutely not recommend.

I would like to resend any positive reviews. This company has a monopoly on my heating/hot water needs yet has consistently refused to work with me on a monthly program. This policy resulted in frozen pipes and major structural damage last winter. I would like to have their tanks removed and go with a more customer friendly company. They actually want to charge me $85 to stop doing business with them.The customer service people were very friendly and extremely helpful.My review has changed dramatically. I have now doe business here 3 times. At first, I attributed a lot of issues to being a new customer. However, it seems that the drama multiplies with each interaction. It is extremely frustrating that I have no option on competitors so I have to deal with unprofessional behaviour.

It is my understanding this company went OUT OF BUSINESS, but did not notify customers. No longer answering phone and customer acct numbers seem lost when trying to access accounts online.

They lie to get your business, awful customer service and they won't bother to call you back. Also their prices end up way higher than anyone else once they got you locked in as a customer.

Do not use this company. They came highly recommended by our generator company. Sadly, they've been a huge disappointment every step of the way-from installing a new tank (took months after they started, and they never filled in the trench), to delivery (they pay zero attention to the weather and plan ahead to make sure your tank is full). Just asked for an urgent delivery prior to a windstorm, as hubby had surgery and won't be able to clear the driveway of downfall if needed, and she cheerfully told me they can't help. They have an order process on the website, except it's not active. They monitor our tank, yet make no decisions based on that information. So, stay away!!!

The guy Thomas that called was not very professional. I wouldn't want to do business with this company based on his demeanor on the phone. He didn't seem interested in my business at all.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Unfortunately, we were customers for 8 looong years and the "service" was terrible from the start and continued to get worse every year.We were supposed to be on "autofill" and yet ran out of propane multiple times a year. Then our tank gauge was broken and reading 80% so the delivery driver did not fill, even AFTER I called multiple times to say that it can't be correct, we are going to run out, it hadn't been filled in over 6 months. They sent a driver out to check out the tank and once again, "it's reading 80%" and he didn't fill it!!! Sure enough we ran out the next week, which means no hot water, and we have 3 small children.We sold our house In October 2022 and I was so HAPPY to finally be done with Virginia Propane, or so I thought....here we are 3 months later and they have yet to come pick up their tank. I have called 3 times (once per month) and today Tina tells me that there has never even been a work order. I have lost count how many times the "customer service" staff have acted like they have no idea what happened, or why there wasn't a work order started. I have often thought to myself, am I being punked? I feel like this cannot be real life and how you operate your business.I encourage Virginia Propane management to go ahead and look up my account and all of the interactions we have had over the past 8 years, is that really how you want to run your business?
