Working with Whitten Brothers of Ashland was a great experience. The management team was responsive and highly effective. The sales and finance department were great as well. They have you in and out with no gimmicks. Pricing was straight forward with no surprises when arriving at the dealership.If in the market for a Ram vehicle, I would highly recommend going to Whitten Brothers of Ashland.

We had a great experience! They were extremely helpful and responsive. We found the car we wanted on their website and by the end of the day we were driving it home. No haggling, in fact they provided us with additional rebates and cost decrease. We got what we wanted and are extremely happy!

Great Service Department. They take care of all of my vehicles and now have an awesome video report that they sent me, now I can see what they are talking about when they let me know something needs a repair, they told me everything was good on this visit and showed me on the video. This is a step above the other dealerships ive been to for sure.

Academy to the dealer from Cincinnati Ohio about 2 weeks ago on a Monday morning and had my car checked out set. My situation straightened out very fast and efficiently in a very fair price. I'm a recommend the witness dealership in action to anyone. I know I knew who they are from when I grew up in Virginia. They are good family and have a good autogroup.

I would not recommend this dealership as they are not very honest about the vehicles they sell and the way they conduct business is a little sketchy. I went to look at a vehicle I was interested in, had already looked at the carfax report, and after asking the salesman if the car had been in any accidents since the bumper was repainted (which I already knew). He stated that he was “unsure” and needed to check the carfax report himself and seemed to be unsure about most things concerning the vehicle (first red flag). He checked the report and still did not mention the vehicle’s accident history (second red flag).After notifying him that I had pre-arranged financing, he did what most salesman do and “asked” if I would like to finance with them at least twice, the answer was no thanks each time. Then I was “asked” if I would like to put down a deposit on the vehicle to keep it from being purchased and this deposit was completely refundable upon the decision that I no longer wanted the vehicle, I said sure. Was charged $500. He also gave me an unofficial buyer’s order upon my request for an official buyer’s order to give to my bank (third red flag). This happened Monday.Yesterday, I had decided that I no longer wanted the vehicle after their “finance manager” decided that she wanted to ask for my social security number and said she needed it to create the buyer’s order (I’ve had dealerships create an official buyer’s order and ssn was never asked for nor is it required) (fourth red flag). After she asked for that, I decided I was no longer interested and wanted my $500 to be refunded (which still has not hit my bank, not even a pending transaction). The “finance manager” sent me a receipt for the refund that she allegedly completed. Not to mention when I told the salesman I was no longer interested in the vehicle after he attempted to talk me back into buying the vehicle he said “uh-huh” and hung up on me abruptly. I would recommend staying away from this dealership, especially if you’re a young woman.

They only take VIP appointments, meaning they won’t sell you a car unless you have a VIP appointment. Go anywhere else, but not here. I was paying CASH and they could care less.53,000 gone to another dealer who knows what customer service is, mistake , BIG MISTAKE. Wonder if the owners know money is walking right out the door !

This is my first service experience with Whitten Brothers of Ashland with my new FCA product. Paul Woods was my service advisor and told me from the beginning the estimated wait time and that the additional work I requested would take a couple of weeks before it could be done. It means a lot that he took the time to have that transparency up front rather than lock me in for money and time without my car. Service was performed efficiently and with great care. After the service, I received a real-time video of my car in the garage and the technician walking through each point of maintenance recommended. It is clear this generational family business knows the foundation of success and all long term relationships are built on trust. Fantastic work Paul and team!

Bought a vehicle recently and stopped to check on a key fob that is owed as per purchase. And to get my visor replaced or at least to order a replacement, got impression that Is a common defective part due service advisor knew exactly what was broken. While he was pulling the vehicle information he asked if I had an appointment for today I replied No and I showed the we owe paperwork and he went I guess to parts to see if the keyfob was ordered. He returned and told me he was taking appointment to the last week of August and informed me that the keyfob are hard to get and have to be laser cut, he returned my papers and told me that the visor takes up to 10 days to receive and that he will call me when to bring the vehicle for installation. Basically ending the interaction. What do I think? I think that not having an appointment is conducive to customer dismissals and leave a impression of waste of time to customers.

This is the best service department that we have ever been to.We had our Dodge ram 2500 in this morning they had the part they got it in within an hour and we're back on the road. We have a fifth-wheel on headed to Florida tried two other dealerships on the way wouldn't get us in under an emergency situation.I would recommend this dealer to anyone.

I went in to buy a Jeep Wrangler after wrecking my car a few weeks ago. This has been the third dealership that I have gone to in my search for a new car. This will be my fourth time purchasing a vehicle and it was by far my favorite experience to date. Steve helped me, and was not only honest and upfront he was also extremely personable and a joy to work with. I couldn't recommend anywhere more! Such a friendly environment! 10/10

I have bought 2 new vehicles at this dealership. A challenger in 2015 and a ram 1500 just over a week ago. They sent a survey for me to rate their services and I somehow lost it. I wish I could find it so I could leave them nothing but 10 across the board. I am 64 years old, have bought 7 news vehicles over the course of my life. I have never had a better experience at any other dealership than I had at Whitten brothers of Ashland. Tony, the sales manager is awesome and does everything he can to give you everything you want at the best price he can. Darcy is a breath of fresh air when she greets you. And Tom (Coleman) is the best car salesperson I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgable and ensures everything about your new car is perfect before to drive off the lot. There is zero pressure salesmanship, just friendly, sincere service. If you don’t give this place a call or go visit them, you’re making a big mistake. I like them so much, I will drive from Newport News to go to them.LikeCommentShare
