I had an exceptional experience with Woodside Equine Clinic when my horse, Ponyo, required urgent medical attention. Dr. Noll, Ponyo's assigned veterinarian, displayed a level of dedication and professionalism that left a lasting impression on me.When Ponyo suffered from a nail in her hoof, it was a worrisome and urgent situation. However, Woodside Equine Clinic stepped up to the plate and saw us promptly, even though it was late on a Wednesday night. This quick response was incredibly reassuring during a stressful time.Dr. Noll's expertise and care were evident from the moment we met her. She was attentive and thorough, ensuring Ponyo's well-being remained the top priority. She conducted x-rays of Ponyo's hoof, allowing us to gain a clear understanding of the extent of the injury and the appropriate course of action.Throughout the process, Dr. Noll demonstrated genuine concern for Ponyo's health and recovery. She took the time to answer all of our questions, patiently explaining the treatment options and potential outcomes. This level of transparency and communication was invaluable, as it empowered us to make informed decisions for Ponyo's care.What truly stood out was Dr. Noll's willingness to work closely with us to develop a personalized plan for Ponyo's recovery. My horse had an episode of colic. He was taken to Woodside equine clinic as my vet was afraid he might need surgical intervention. I was extremely impressed when I rolled up several vets, techs, and a surgeon was standing there waiting for us. As soon as we pulled Junior off the trailer they had him inside checking him out. Due to Covid we were not allowed inside but they kept me informed every step of the way. I will definitely use them again if ever I run into an equine emergency again

Great care and service. My horse had an abscess which would not go away. I was concerned it was developing into something requiring antibiotics, surgery, etc. The vet I used for 7 years could not be reached (Thursday before 4th of July) and I was referred to the Woodside Equine Clinic and Dr. Côté by my trainer. Dr. Côté was quick to come, even though I had never been a client of Woodside Equine Clinic. My horse was embarrassingly bad, but Dr. Côté was patient and persistent. She took x-rays, dug out the infection and treated the hoof all while my horse acted ugly (very impressive since he's extra-large.). I was given clear instructions on after care. Dr. Côté followed up with a call after a few days to see how her patient was doing. My horse is now healed and I have a new vet.

The staff here is VERY rude. There were some disparaging remarks made to some of my fellow boarders. One boarder was told her weight was the reason for her horses problems. The horse had an abscess. What does weight have to do with an abscess ?. The prices are ridiculously high! Who wants to pay that much for a individual to come out and be rude. The front office staff is not helpful, they are rude, and dismissive. I recommend Virginia Equine, the staff and doctors are great!

This vet clinic has been a true blessing! My horse showed a very very swollen irritated eye over Thanksgiving, I called every vet in the area. Most vets did not answer me but some of the ones that did said they could not take an emergency because I was not a client, even my usual vet did not reply. That was NOT the case with Woodside! I called and we had an emergency vet on the phone within 5 minutes, and within the next hour that emergency vet (Dr. Montague) was at our farm and treated Secret on Thanksgiving day. Dr. True came for our follow up today and she was just as wonderful and diligent! Secret’s eye is so much better and I have a happy horse again! I will 100% be using Woodside as a full time vet now after the wonderful care showed for my horse.I have since had an ultrasound of my mares ovaries with Dr. Stanford and he and his assistant were wonderful. The assistant was kind to my mare, and Dr. Stanford was thorough and explained everything he was doing and saw. He helped prescribe a medication to help my mare and now she will be on it full time because she does so well!Woodside, Secret and I truly thank you!!

I do NOT recommend this equine clinic! DR. Standford came out for one of our borders, I was asked to please meet him because they can't make th appointment. DR. Standford would not talk to me, was very dismissive and rude. He didn't care what I had to say about what was going on with the horse and just kept walking away. He never left any instructions on what do with the medication he left or anything. In my 25 years of owning and running a facility I have NEVER had a vet treat me like that or not inform the care taker what to do with the medicine. I will never use this facility again.

My farrier noticed my gelding had an abscess on a Monday and he became increasingly lame by Wednesday. I sent an email Wednesday night (after hours) and was emailed back 1st thing in the morning. Dr. Tate was out that afternoon. She did an amazing job (couldn’t get him out of the paddock because the gate is difficult). Worked around the challenges. She asked my husband to have me call so she could explain what I needed to do. I called and left a message- returned my call within 10 min. Explained the process and made sure I understood. She was calm and matter of fact which was great because I was panicking! He is doing great and I learned a skill that I need. Thank you Dr. Tate!

I definitely always recommend Woodside Equine Clinic, they are very professional, and have a very knowledgeable staff. The only thing I find as their downfall is that they are very overpriced in many regards. Especially for the area. I am however always impressed with the professionalism of all staff / employees/veterinarians/assistants/caretakers.

Harrowing acute lipoma colic experience, but vets came out as quickly as possible and provided support, medical diagnosis and options, as well as patience during this difficult situation and the decisions that needed to be made.

Had to switch vets for my pony after moving barns. He had been hospitalized at Woodside previously when he coliced and they took great care of him. I trusted them then, and I trust them to take good care of my boy for all his other health needs now too.
