A SleepSafe® Bed is a prescribed sleeping environment for those diagnosed with chronic medical conditions requiring complex care. For insurance coverage, SleepSafe® Beds need to be prescribed by physicians. Letters of Medical Necessary are typically submitted by Assistive Technology Professional (ATP’s), Occupational and Physical Therapists (OC/PT’s) SleepSafe® Beds are considered Durable Medical Equipment with systems designed to address problems with entrapment, falls and other medical conditions. The beds meet or exceed FDA guidelines on the 7 Zones of Entrapment.
