We’ve always had good experiences at the Bedford Lowe’s, but after today I felt I should give them an official five-star review. After a mixup today with delivery of a large custom order of doors (some were not put on the truck), I have to say how impressed I was with the store manager. (I think his name was Greg.) After being told initially by Receiving that it would be two more days until the rest of my order could be delivered, Greg got on the phone with someone and had my doors delivered later in the day. Even if he had been unsuccessful, it was clear he wanted to do his best to help and I told him I appreciated his genuine effort. We are longtime customers and DIYers, and this is exactly why we keep coming back to Bedford Lowe’s!

I live about 40min from this location, but after 3 failed attempts at finding a shower surround that wasn’t cracked, I came here trying to find one. Not only did I find one, a sweet employee David helped me take it down, open it, and helped me check it for cracks. Afterwards, he taped it all back up for me and made sure it was put in the back without being damaged so my husband could pick it up the next day with our truck. The people working the customer service desk were also extremely helpful and kind.

Customer service was not the best. Front Manger James Bright was uncooperative in issuing a copy of work order. I was bringing in chipper( that I had purchased from that Lowes 2 months earlier) to be repaired. I was not given any kind of claim ticket to insure the return of chipper. This is not good business and was told they don't issue any kind of conformation. He said you can either leave it or take it with you. After that poor service ,have no fear we will never use, recommend or support Lowes ever again.

The trip into Lowes.
I thought the trip into Lowe’s was going to be like my typical affair. Wondering the halls of this magical building, looking for tools and supplies that I somehow walk past every time. To my dismay, this day was different.
I just go out of work and decided that today was the day to buy the wood for my ever growing project…a house. For the purposes of my visit to Lowe’s I needed 46 boards for a deck.
I walk into the store and am greeted by the cashier. My social anxiety took over and I asked, “where are the decking boards?” Spoiler alert I’m looking at them while asking the question. With a smile the cashier points me in the right direction and I proceed on.
I choose a cart I’m sure will be proficient and begin to load the wood. Apparently 46 heavy soaking wet boards create a heavy load something I would compare to a elephant. Here’s the problem, I need to get this heavy 18 ton cart to the register. I push and heave under the immense weight and to my horror the wheel or wheels have a bump in the middle of them. So now I’m pushing this heavy load to the register, while simultaneously holding the top boards on the cart so they don’t get thrown off from the speed bumps created from the cart.
People begin to watch this circus unfold. Remember my social anxiety….yep still not cured at this point.
I make it to the register and tell the cashier Lindsey. “Be right back” and flee to the circular saws so I can partake in spending more money and to rid the many eyes watching the spectical infold.
I ask a lady working over there (Cindy) to help my find a circular saw. I ask while she begins to unlock the door to grab the saw, if batteries are included. They are not. I stumble back in pain. “What” I proclaim, “Where are the batteries then.” I am directed to a different section of the store where I see the cheapest batteries well over what I would like to spend. “Where are the saws that are corded.” I ask. Cindy points to where I’m looking and says, “right here.” Apparently my vision is wankers.
There is nothing like looking directly at something and saying “where is it again?”
I leave Cindy and retreat to the registrar. Lindsey had rung everything up already and had me ready to flee the store.
I am ending the story here.
I received great customer service from both Cindy and Lindsey. I would rate them both a 10/10 and beg you to give them each a million dollars and a new car, though a house should not be ruled out.
A shoutout to Elena and David from the paint section for being awesome as well. I couldn’t do the survey because it wouldn’t except my number on the receipt but wanted to give them a praise. 10/10 great service!
Thank you Bedford VA for hiring such great workers.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
