I had a strange noise inside my drivers side door and Berryville Auto Parts fixed the problem in one day. The noise is gone and the price to fix the door was extremely competitive. I couldn't be happier with the service and plan to go back for any issue that arises with any of my cars. So, initially had a good experience here with our Subaru. They diagnosed parking break problem quite quickly for a price of $50.
I decided to take my truck there as well. Had a check engine light and low oil pressure light come on. I asked them to do some more digging for the diagnosis as well since there were a few other concerns with the truck. They came back with a laundry list of items, essentially saying the whole front end of the truck needed to be rebuilt and would cost upwards of $2400+; ball joints, tie rod, sway bar, etc.
So, I considered selling the truck and asked Carquest for some opinions/if they would buy it. (I was already considering this before the laundry list)
The engine and transmission, however, were replaced not 20,000 miles before I purchased it used, so could expect at least a couple grand for a new engine and transmission. And I was told by an employee there that I could sell for $2000-$3000 because of the new engine and transmission.
News spread to the mechanics at Carquest that I was interested in selling the truck, and they were a couple guys very interested in buying. So there was a bidding war going on between a couple mechanics offering $500-$700… after I was told I could sell it for 2-3 grand. So that did not add up to me.
So I took it somewhere else and they found no pressing issues with any of the laundry list items. They tightened a sway bar link, fixed a small leak, and said you can definitely keep driving it. And that cost me just $110.
So, not really sure what they were trying to do… pull one over on me? They obviously thought it was a great truck because they wanted it.
Pretty good initial service, but turned sour after the experience with my truck.

Fantastic experience from the moment I made the call. They worked very hard to finish my son's car after trying many different avenues to get the difficult parts. They even had the car finished many days ahead of schedule. I will definitely be using them in the future for all our cars. Thank you!!!

I’ve been here before, had good experiences and planned for this to be my “go to” garage. However, I went there last week for an inspection. Called ahead to make sure they were doing them this morning, checked in at the front desk, then waited in line outside about 45 minutes before finding someone who told me they are on a lunch break. I certainly understand taking a break, but the person on the phone and at the front desk should communicate that information before customers wait for an extended time. I’ve gone to a closer garage for my inspection and will plan to take the rest of my auto business there.
