Lots to do at the pumpkin patch

Beyond thankful there's a local pumpkin that's open on Thursdays! I work every Friday through Sunday and being the season it is and working in the wine industry, it's hard to get away. It wasn't very busy after the field trippers left around 2, which was perfect for my husband and me! We had the place to ourselves for a while and got to act like kids without having to worry about taking any experiences away from actual kids! The only thing my husband was disappointed in was the fact that he couldn't launch apples into targets as that activity is reserved for the weekends. Completely understandable! I'm just grateful they were even open and able to keep us entertained for hours!

**BUYER BEWARE** The pumpkin patch scale at checkout it setup so you can easily wheel your cart loaded with pumpkins onto the balance and not have to unload it -- but the convenience has a hidden cost: They charge you the weight of the pumpkins AND THE CART! If you ask, they'll lie to your face and tell you they zeroed out the cart weight beforehand. I watched the digital scale reading (I'm a scientist, and I observe and measure things for a living. I was curious how they would zero out the empty cart's weight after watching people in front of me check out, especially if some empty carts might weigh more than others) - I am confident they did NOT zero out the cart's weight.I figure the empty cart is 20 lbs, and they charged $0.75/lb (which isn't posted anywhere online that I can find) - so if you go, save yourself ~$15 and unload/reload your pumpkins when you check out! Or, don't go at all. I like supporting local businesses, but I like supporting ethical sales practices more.Wayside is way sketchy.

Wayside Farm certainly has a lot of fun activities. Plenty of parking.Things to do:Smaller tractor train rideA huge corn kernel play binTractor see sawsTractor slidesBull saw horse lassoPig racesPumpkin dropGiant air pads for bouncing onHuge corn mazesGiant hay bale mountain to climbLong hay rideApple air cannons and paint ball shootersGames, food, and drinks. My only disappointments were tye pumpkin patch set up, you have to push a wheelbarrow into a large patch, it is not part of the hayride. They did not serve any apple cider here. They did have pizza, hamburgers and apple cider donuts!Overall this is a great, fun experience for young and old.

A great place to take your kids for a fun day! They have LOTS of different activities packed into one farm, a great selection of activities. We really enjoy the tug a war, hayride, and the animals! My husband likes the baskestball & football throw! Thanks for the good time, great job!

Not a bad place but parents let kids run wild. While in corn maze group of 4 boys maybe 7-9 running through corn maze. They were throwing full ears of corn at people and almost hit my wifes head and my young daughter. When we told staff at corn they did nothing about it even when kids pointed out. Saftey is not a concern for this place.

Wayside farm is owned by a wonderful family and they always have great staff on hand. Every year they add activities. The tug of war is a highlight for me this year. Last but not least, the corn maze they have every year is wonderful. This year's theme, 2022, is Garfield.

My review is not based on what others let their kids do. My review is solely based on my observations. It's a very fun outing for kids and family. If your are actively watching your kids then you will he fine. However there are tones of hidden dangers for young kids. Inside of one of the tractor slides I noticed holes in the floor. A young child could get their legs and or body stuck. On the seesaw I noticed a piece of metal loose. This could pose a serious issue if a child or person was to fall forward. On the hay ride I noticed a part of the wagon was coming lose. If you are a larger male don't lean back. The corn pit is fun for the kids. However the question is how often is the corn pits cleaned.Food wise our pizza was under cooked.Outside of these concerns it is a fun place to go a great place to go for pumpkins and a nice outing

It was really fun we did a hayride. That was a really fun scavenger hunt and I really recommend definitely we should go there The hard-corn maze is very hard but I would definitely does your dad.
