Rip off. Shame on places like that. To lower airbag on truck and trailer they charge not even hourly rate but flat rate of 166$ .

On their sign by the highway it advertises 24 HOUR TOWING, but when I called around 7pm for my truck that had broken down, they’d only tow it “depending on where it needs to go”… which was only up the road to Accomack. Needless to say, I don’t think they ARE 24 hours, so why advertise such?

The owner of this company has highly questionable morals. His granddaughter was abused as a teenager, and ended up being the target of a high speed chase, well over 90mph, initiated by her father who was driving a CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE. When the father later initiated a tribunal within their church, she was deemed a troubled teen, and elders ordered her shunning. The owner of this company has cut her off for almost 20 years, but went on to EMPLOY the son who chased his granddaughter in a CUSTOMER vehicle. This is his own flesh and blood who can't even breath a word of her own defense to him as a loving family & community oriented adult who wants nothing more than to NOT experience victim blaming for her trauma, especially from people who were her only true safety net until three men judged an abused, troubled teenager's soul ought be "handed over to satan"... This is not someone i can ethically recommend for business.... All the other stuff aside, he EMPLOYED a man that was known to have used a CUSTOMER VEHICLE to go on a HIGH SPEED CHASE after his own granddaughter... And no, the son was not let go for the same reasons.

John and staff were wonderful. We were traveling in our our motorhome and heard a scraping sound. John said we could come right over. The mechanics were knowledgeable and experienced. They talked everything over with us before doing any work. They found the problem, fixed it, and adjusted a few other things that were in need. We highly recommend them.

First, the positive. Everyone I dealt with, from the desk, to the owner, to the mechanics were courteous and friendly. Now for the negative. I have brought two vehicles to Ferebee because I thought the issues might be too much for my local mechanic. I have now spent $400 to determine that both issues on separate vehicles were too much for them, as well. At least with my truck, they spent some time trying to help before they determined they couldn't. With my car, they put it on the computer and told me I need a new engine (I don't know if this is actually the case yet, but I presume that is the cheaper option these days than opening/rebuilding the existing engine. The charge for something g I could have had a parts store do for free was extreme. To Ferebee's credit, after I complained about the expense, they discounted me substantially. The towing fees seem really high to me, as well.To summarize: two vehicles. No results. Overcharged to have the car towed back to my driveway, where I could have left it in the first place and been in exactly the same situation, but several hundred dollars less in debt.Additionally, the garage was going through some totally understandable issues that slowed service down. However, I had to call them twice, each after a couple of days, just to find out the status of the car. The only reason I did not mark them unresponsive on the review is due to the difficulties they were having. Even then, I think a phone call to their customers letting them know what's up could reasonably have been expected.I might or might not go to Ferebee for simple repairs if my local mechanic is too busy. Not really sure.

If you want to lose the college money for your 2 kids as example ,thats the right address..be aware of them because they are charging "when they go out and when they come back" , if they need 4 hours to towe you 80 miles they will charge you with the exact ammount of time and money back , so you guys need 4 hours back to the shop? Empty? I recommend only to get with them a deal with an estimate first because it seems that they like to change the price in the last minute with none logical reason...so a total charge of 8 hours makes no senseService: Car towing

Wow. Great service, fair prices, and a speedy repair! We were visiting from out of state when our car broke down at Machipongo Trading Co. My dad and I had my 3 year old in the car and no one who could come pick us up. Farabee responded to our call right away and showed up with a tow truck in under 30 minutes. They safely towed us to the shop on their truck, much to my 3 year old’s delight. When they determined that a new starter was needed, they personally drove us back to our rental house (20 minutes away) and promised to check back soon. The car was ready just a few hours later, and they came to pick my dad up and bring him back to the garage to get the car.We were really in a tight spot and they could have charged us pretty much anything; instead, their prices were more than fair and the service was excellent! We’re very grateful for their help; they made what could have been a tough situation into just a small hiccup. Since we’re out of state we hope we never have to use them again, but we were thrilled with the service! Thank you.Services: Car towing

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I go in for a simple diagnosis to checkout the engine light that came up on my 2011 Kia Optima. I was under the impression that it was going to be like autozone or pep boys where it's free to check it out. They said it would be 75$ so I said okay that's fine. The original scan was done with a smaller scanner I guess and that showed a tire pressure monitor system fault. Then they took the car into the shop and used the "big boy scanner". He said it cost 30,000$. Well that showed I had a large emission leak. The guy said that because the main mechanic was not there and he happened to have a part of the 30,000 scanner with him that they could not tell me exactly where the leaks was coming from without that part. I said okay I can wait for him to get here. Guy at the shop goes when he gets here you'll have to pay 95$ an hour for him to look at it. So basically the b******* here is they made me pay 75$ for a diagnostic that they couldn't even perform fully without the part that the guy had that wasn't even there. Un real, it's a shame because we have 5 cars in our family. Truly the worst business on the shore!!!!

We were travelling to our home in PA from Virginia Beach when our car's alternator failed and the car broke down. The staff at Ferebee's was prompt, courteous and understanding of our situation. They set us up in a nearby hotel, obtained the part they needed quickly and had us back on the road the next day. These people are great! I can't thank them enough!
